I feel your being a little harsh on James who's coming back from a long term injury,

How long are people going to ride that excuse for? He played half of last season, had a full pre-season, and has played a lot this season.

Shock another overreaction from you. Goals in the cup and that assist for Vardy against Swansea clearly show he's got something.

He’s clearly got ability and can finish. However he just looks totally lost when he plays in the Premier League. Maybe you need to watch the game back?

Morgan - played pretty all first half of season, no way he'll go

Fuchs - here till 2019 when his contract runs out

James - signed a new 4 year deal in Sep no way he goes

Iheanacho - no way he's going. Silly to invest £25m+ and get rid after less than a year

Okazaki - Don't see why we would get rid.

Out of the rest it's only Mahrez going who would have a major effect on the team.

I would say all the players out on loan don’t really have a future here now.

Only exception, if he gets a regular run of games for Newcastle, is Slimani, who may come back a different player with a bit more confidence.

In the current squad players who shouldn’t really be a starting 11 player come next season you could look at replacing:

Morgan: Been a great player but time to have as back up and get a younger CB partner for Maguire to partner for hopefully years to come.

Simpson : Younger RB needed and Simpson back up

Fuchs: Legs have gone as have seen the best of him, bet he will love to move to the MLS next season.

Albrighton: Yes he works hard but he is way too one dimensional, he would suit Newcastle or Brighton, Diabate or Gray to take his place.

(feel Gray could come good with regular game time in this position)

James: Isn’t a mid/top Premiership central midfielder. A bang average player who could play in relegation scraps each year without pulling up any trees!

Benaloune & Huth: Age against them and very limited game time next season no doubt.

If we hold any aspirations of hitting 7th/top 6 all of these players don’t make the grade at all.

Next season - Kasper needs a quality keeper to give him on his toes as his place is too easily justified at the moment.

A lot of positions up for competition next season as we’re very much 5 players away from a decent side and that’s without Mahrez leaving which I think were all relatively sure will happen in the summer.

I hope we have a replacement lined up as without his creativity I am pretty concerned taking away his and Vardys goals....the rest of the team hardly chip in with many assists/goals.

Looks like that we will have a busy summer with plenty of players moving on - what do you think?

Huth - unlikely to remain. May retire

Morgan - perhaps one more season, but might be time for a move to Derby or Forest.

Fuchs - move to the USA to be with his family

Beanalouane - no way is he staying

King - surely, no way he will be staying

James - ditto

Mahrez - will obviously leave. Can't really blame him - skilful, quality player who can shine in a better team

Slimani - on his way

Musa - ditto

Iborra - glimpses of what he might be capable of, but he may prefer to head back to Spain to see out his career

Ihenacho - failed in the same way that Musa and Slimani have. Yet to score a Premier League goal. Sadly, £25m looks alot of money.

Okazaki - tries his heart out, but his abilities are limited

The ones in bold I cannot see happening really. A clearout yes though with other players.

We are essentially a bottom 6 side without Mahrez and Vardy. Riyad  will leave and Vardy getting no younger. Gray going backwards with every game and Chilwell a liability at this level. James is a good championship. We have been embarrassingly bad at signing players since the title win. Huge questions to be asked.

It's not a knee jerk reaction. He has been very slowly deteriorating for a long time now.

Meh just thought i'd use a buzzword to keep the snowflakes at bay. I seem to have a habit of upsetting them.

If we are not brave enough to make significant changes I can see us struggling massively next season. Mahrez will be gone and Vardy, who we rely on for goals and the focus of our attack, is becoming increasingly isolated by Puel's style of play.

I received a PCN on the 16.02 on Freedmen's Medows during the Sheffield Utd game through CMS, it came through the today £60.00 if paid within 14 days but was issued in the 20th as it's the 24th already list 4 days..

Gray while he undoubtedly has huge potential, I just don't think he has the attitude and he won't fulfill his potential here.

Should have took the £30m from Bournemouth.

I’m openly going to admit this is a knee jerk reaction but Schmeichel seriously needs looking at, we atleast need a replacement/decent number 2 to put pressure on him.

He's pissing me off no end this season.

Again today his distribution was ****ing awful.

What I will say is he’s a great shot stopper but in however many years  he's been here his distribution has NEVER improved and it’s not just his kicking, he has a tendency to throw the ball out to the opposition.

I don't think it's knee jerk. Kasper has always been overrated by our fans. He makes far too many blunders over the season to be considered top class IMO.

people talking of him going to United etc if De Gea left, not in a million years.

Remember in the championship he was known as "flapper" because he refused to catch anything in the box or just flapped at it, he's had inconsistencies since day 1.

He's a quality player for us and no doubt he's pulled off some worldies every season and often keeps us in games, but he's always making silly mistakes whether it be the odd blunder or his woeful distribution at times.

He's not top class and he's not bad.

I'd rather go in for someone like Butland to be honest who's been more consistent long term.

Worrying thing is, with are current recuitment record, what chance have got of bring in anyone better?

This is a major concern. Half the team need binning but with Rudkin running the show we could end up even worse.

He didn't play for two years, had a few games in the championship performing well now he's playing at a higher level which he is showing himself more than capable of playing at and  also has time to develop further only being 26 years old. Also I feel it's very easy to forget what a big part James played in our recent success, he was brilliant in the championship winning season and held himself well in the great escape season. He was miles ahead of drinkwater in his development when he got that horrendous injury. I feel like as a club we owe it to james to help him with his rehabilitation and reintegration into first team football rather than just binning him off when things get tough. He's more than good enough for this level and has earned the right to have a few dodgy games while he gets back to his brilliant best.

For me his distribution was excellent today with the exception of the one mistake he made when he gave it to shaqiri. Most goalkeeper throughout the league just get the ball and hoof it up to the striker who then looses it in the air. Kasper has the ability to play a higher risk style of distribution where he looks up and tries to kick it to the feet of a player who is free. I'd much rather him do that than mindlessly kicking it. I'll also say the commentators on sky praised his distribution a lot today.

Can anyone talk positive about James without mentioning Drinkwater? Danny Drinkwater plays for Chelsea. He is not a teammate of James, nor a rival for a starting place at Leicester City.

No football club owes any player “reintegration into first team football”. Rehabilitation, yes. First team football, no.

We’re not in the Championship winning season nor the great escape season. We are in this season, and I doubt no more than a few would argue that James has proved himself “more than capable” at this level.

It's quite possible that we'll lose Maguire and N'Didi as well.

Maguire can have a horror show as well as the next man, so he won't be going just yet but he will within 3 years.

I am baffled as to exactly what qualities Matty James brings to a game that Silva doesn't possess . It does smack of the sort of stubborn approach that characterised the worse aspects of Pearson 's management which saw the likes of Albrighton never getting picked for a period of time . He is an international playerFFS if he lacks stamina then play him for 60 minutes but we want to see decent footballers out there not a workmanlike dull plodder

For me the drinkwater point is valid, before his injury James was a better player than drinkwater and was a year younger. Therefore it is not beyond the realms of possibility that with a year or two further development James could be better than drinkwater who is a full england international and a top class midfielder. Also for all he did for the club before his injury I would argue he deserves a chance back in the first team to prove himself, which for the most part with a couple of bad games I believe he is doing. He obviously still has a bit about him otherwise Puel would not keep picking him.

A lot of them, 3 managers coming in and struggled for long periods, can’t all be down to the manager, common denominators in this is some bang average players in the squad.

Agree.  I think the problem is also with consistency.  Some shine one day and are bang average the next.

Two very different players, James to me breaks up play and is a physical aggressive midfielder. Silva comes across from what I've seen as more of a playmaker.

Football clubs are not charities. Of course players deserve due credit for helping a club achieve success. But nobody is guaranteed a chance in the first-team.

I agree he can't keep getting chances forever but I feel as long as he keeps improving and showing the right attitude he should be given a decent chance to prove his worth to the club. Others might disagree but in a few years if he continues to get his chance I believe he will turn into a top class player.
