Sell anyone that cant pass

We'll only end up with about 2 players.

Edit: just saw the earlier post saying 4. I am half as optimistic.

Looks like that we will have a busy summer with plenty of players moving on - what do you think?

Huth - unlikely to remain. May retire

Morgan - perhaps one more season, but might be time for a move to Derby or Forest.

Fuchs - move to the USA to be with his family

Beanalouane - no way is he staying

King - surely, no way he will be staying

James - ditto

Mahrez - will obviously leave. Can't really blame him - skilful, quality player who can shine in a better team

Slimani - on his way

Musa - ditto

Iborra - glimpses of what he might be capable of, but he may prefer to head back to Spain to see out his career

Ihenacho - failed in the same way that Musa and Slimani have. Yet to score a Premier League goal. Sadly, £25m looks alot of money.

Okazaki - tries his heart out, but his abilities are limited

Yup!!!   But where do we find another 30,000 Fans...

He’s clearly got ability and can finish. However he just looks totally lost when he plays in the Premier League. Maybe you need to watch the game back?

He's not the out and out striker in the prem though as that's vardys role. In the cup playing the front man he did very well.

Wholesale changes do not work !!! Our team is not broken, yes it needs some attention but nothing major. The team selection in the first half did not have enough quality to break down a side that was going to sit back & defend.    Its very tough to play a team that will concede possession for a couple of break aways

Three good acquisitions in the Summer & start playing some of the younger players & we will be just fine.

Iheanacho was absolutely appalling when he came on today. How many chances do we give him? Awful almost every game he’s played.

he has to adapt to leicester the thing is at man city he had de bruyne to get passes from but leicester have no number 10 so he has to forge chances out of nothing by coming deep

Perhaps because some people don't think  he's proved himself better. Good player, but Wes also has done bugger all wrong.

I don’t think he’s proved himself as a better player (nor is it clear that he’s not a better player), but it seems to me he’s done sufficiently well to warrant keeping his place over Wes until he has a drop in form. You can also argue that Dragovic has the potential for a much longer future here, and could get even better as a player. For those two reasons I think it was wrong to put Morgan back in.

Is there anyone in the academy (18-20 year-old) that looks impressive regularly and should be considered as being promoted to the first-team squad in the next season or so?

How's Harvey Barnes doing at Barnsley?

Barnes is back with the first team / U23s.

All opinions, Wes is at the end of his career, never been the greatest of passers in the world, and we are attempting a possession based, more technical style of play.

Dragovic in my opinion is as good if not better than Wes, younger and potentially his replacement, and by far a better and more composed passer of the ball

Your opinion is that Wes is a better footballer I guess, your entitled to your opinion, and so am I.

Dragovic I’m guessing didn’t come here not to play, and had to wait for a chance to prove himself, and take the opportunity, in that period, if I remember right we went about 5 games without conceding a goal, and Man City a side, the conceding of sloppy goals was down to a minimum, so it’s not wether Wes has done something wrong, it should have been his turn to be patient, and very harsh and dragovic, and for me sends the wrong signal to those trying to earn a place in the side.

So opinions aside, he warranted keeping his place, and it was down to Wes to wait for him to have a drop in form or injury, so if I was dragovic, I wouldn’t consider signing for a manager that doesn’t reward his patience and good form, and play a player because of who he is.

Agree entirely. I read in a thread that other clubs are sniffing around him and I'd be livid if we lose him in the summer.

He's still on loan and if he's not given enough game time although having done very well I wouldn't begrudge him to see somewhere else where his qualities are rightly appreciated.

I'm suspecting that the old guard still has a lot to say for the starting XI. Morgan might have a good season he's still miles away from Dragovic when it comes to bring the ball forward. I thought Puel wanted to build his possession football from the back. It was evident against Stoke that it will never the case with Morgan and Simpson in the back four.

Max Bramley is a promising GK .like to see him given a chance...

not one of our own but Tottenham academy LB Keenan Bennetts looks useful..cant see him getting in their team as hes behind Danny Rose and Ben Davies so we might get him....... lots of young english players in the acadamies of Chelsea, Man Utd etc  just need a chance ...Danny Drinkwater,Muzzy izzet, Andy King came from this source

After all the fuss with signing him, really at a loss to understand why we aren't building next years team around Silva. We have a fantastic opportunity for a really long pre-season starting now as we've now no realistic chance for Europe place or Cup. So experiment with a new look with Silva.

You have hit the nail on the head when you say “We are attempting a possession based, more technical style of play”. The only problem with that is we have very little in the way of technical players and the only ones we have seem to be on the bench!!! That’s like me saying I’m opening the biggest and best chip shop in Leicester, the only problem is I haven’t got any potatoes and the only ones I have got are going rotten in the sack!!

Haha. Quite a nice anology there. On one hand I like that the manager is trying to do, i'm confused that he's clearly using the wrong players to try and achieve it.

Puel wants to change our style of play but is also reluctant to lose games, and its leaving us stuck in the middle with sideways passes. He clearly doesn't trust the likes of Iborra and Silva from a defensive point of view. Nothing against Simpson because he always tries and has done really well for us, but not having an attacking full back is hindering us. If we did we would get away with having 2 sitting midfielders a bit more and it would also help to free up Mahrez with the overlapping run.

This is my moan from the weekend, and puel has hinted as much, we are slow and predictable in our play.

He wants quick one two’s, players passing and moving into space quickly, but then picks the players with limited technical abilities, or not mobile enough like James, Simpson, and then albrighton who alleged strength is his crossing, which he isn’t any where near consistent enough for me, but either way, he hasn’t the technical ability to play football like puel wants, he’s a grafter, and a crosser, and with nobody in the box, don’t see the point in playing him, if we are playing that way,  the wingers should be Pacey as well, to give a different option, so players like diabate would be a better fit than albrighton

So I agree he doesn’t want to lose, and his selection reflects that, but by being negative or safe he could be costing points.

We are safe give or take a point, get the players on who fit the style he wants to play, and ok they might not be as defensively minded, but if this is the way forward, let’s start now as the likes of stoke and Swansea were very poor sides, and offered very little going forward, and I think we would have hammered them if we played quick football, rather than hoofing it against them, and making defending for them very easy.

Results are not terrible but not great either, I would rather win 2 in 11 playing quick exciting passing football, than the frustrating, miss passing, predictable, and I will say boring stuff of recent weeks, I am a fan of what he trying to do, but not the way he’s doing it, and if he’s not careful, the fan base could turn on him.
