It’d be an unwise choice to go for Southampton, they’ve only managed to muster up a measly 4 page thread, pitiful

Or... He looks at them and sees them as a selling club with little ambition, then looks at us, a club that will fight to keep hold of its top players to try and realise its ambitions.

Definitely those two, the most prominent wantaways who used the media to put pressure on us to sell, but failed miserably anyway.

We even make it difficult for our bench players, Zieler and Hernandez gave interviews after they had left saying they had to fight to leave.

We've spent 50 million on two proven internationals and one bright young star before most clubs have got started. Not only that, but we've bought the right players for our weaknesses.

I mean more in terms of attitudes rather than necessarily examples. After all we're kind of in an unprecedented position for the club and I think the owners have shown they're not gonna be mugged off and will only sell if the deal is right. Southampton are a selling club and everyone knows it... if he wanted to leave after a couple of years it would be easier to leave them than it would be us

Oh yeah absolutely. And I do think he is that type of guy I'm just being cynical because I think if he wanted a springboard then Southampton would be his choice. But all my Norwich supporting friends think a lot of him and want him to join Leicester over anyone else. They don't begrudge him because he deserves the move apparently

Pleased that finally this one has been all but confirmed to be happening! Has been in the pipeline for so long but hasn't seemed to develop for weeks, until finally today seemed to bring more concrete news.

 

For what it's worth, according to our main journalist, Southampton never actually put in a bid. Sounds like it may actually have been a ploy from us to get you to get your sh*t together :D You lot won't regret it though. Will be disappointing to see him move on but it's been inevitable since the season ended and I'm actually really excited to see how he'll perform in the Prem. No doubt in my mind he'll smash it. Can't wish him enough luck. Our journo also reported that Leicester is Maddison's preferred destination. 

 

For me as well I think this is the perfect move for him. Didn't like the idea of him moving to Everton, and a move to one of the top 6 probably wouldn't have seen him get the game-time he deserves. Southampton wouldn't have been terrible but to be honest they were a bit of a state last year, plus they took Redmond off us, someone who hasn't really developed since leaving (though to be fair he was a few levels below Maddison). Genuinely looking forward to seeing how he gets on. As I said a few pages back, no doubt in mind that if he plays regularly he'll get around the double figure mark for both goals and assists.

Just before I get banned again for giving information another one I called weeks ago.

 

Soon this is going to make it 2 for 2 from me.

 

Evans and now Maddison 2 X class signings.

 

Not bad for someone who gets everything i say (wrong).

However 24hrs before those 48hrs i said this thread will be closed soon.

 

Your not daft im sure but you know transfers swing in roundabouts sometimes they get over the line quicker than expected or sometimes as everyone knows with it being leicester it takes longer than expected. But your not daft so i dont need to tell you this.

He may have opened the thread not dis counting that. but i said that Madison will be the next transfer through the door straight after Evans signed, check my last posts.
