Wouldn't even consider playing 3 at the back if it meant Morgan gets in. Liability at the best of times.

lollol  Cant believe i still see peoples line up including Morgan.. upsetting.  Are they actually oblivious to what they seen last season?

Just let him go .. He can go out the club hero and premier league champion he once was.

If Puel can create a system that gets Vardy, Kelechi, Maddison & Diabete in the same team then he is a much better manager than we give him credit for.

Unfortunately I don't think its possible. Looking like a 41212 with Maddison behind JV & Kelechi. Midfield three of Wilf, Silva & Iborra/Choudhury I guess.

I’m really excited to hopefully see Iheanacho and Vardy play up front together rather than have Nahco just in behind

I think Nacho would be excited by that too!

Will be really interesting to see what shape we take next season. This does feel like a real time of transition, and there are a few players who I am sure are wondering where they fit into all of this.

Well right now, our CB options are out of Morgan, Evans, Maguire, Benny, Amartey and the U21 squad. If you're going to pick 3 from that list, Morgan gets in. I suppose you could have Fuchs or Simpson as the left / right sided centre-backs, but think Morgan is better at CB.

If we sign another defender I'm sure we'll adjust our team line-ups accordingly. We all know age is catching up with Wes and has just one more season left with the club. He can still play some part this season. He's been our club captain for the most glorious era in our history!

I don' see us playing two up top as we're not really being linked with strikers.

If we planned on playing with two, we would need a striker or two....

Sky said yesterday that he wanted to join Southampton. There sources are getting worse lol.

this is from 2 hours ago though so they've finally got hold of some decent sources by the sound of it. Moving to the midlands sounds like it makes a lot of sense for him though.

I still think Vardy struggles to play in a 2 and is at his best when leading the line alone and so free to roam the whole width without impeding someone alongside him.

I think Iheanacho will be a long-term replacement in that role but hopefully will still get enough game time as back-up for Vardy but also back-up in a no.10 role

I'd like to see this:

-------------------------------Kasper------------------------------

Pereira----------Maguire------------Evans----------Chilwell

-------------------------Silva--------N'didi-------------------------

---New Signing----------Maddison--------Diabate or Gray

--------------------------------Vardy--------------------------------

We may still be looking to improve the starting 11 with signings so this could change of course.

I wouldn't be against another CM and I do think we need another striker with different qualities, such as heading/Hold up play

I agree.

Vardy/nacho leading the line.

Albrighton/gray/Diabate fighting out for LW.

Okazaki/maddison/Barnes in the 10 role

For the RW,I think we need two. Roberts I think will be one and then someone a little more seasoned.

I agree with the target man idea bit reckon it will be tricky getting someone who would come knowing they are a special teams player, in essence.

I couldn't agree more. If I was a manager one of the first things I would want from my team is to be highly proficient on defending and attacking corners and it's great if you can have a free kick specialist in your ranks.

I remember the O'Neill teams were brilliant at corners. One year it took us until February to concede a headed goal in the PL and the likes of Elliott, Walsh and Taggart would regularly get about 15 goals between them from centre half. We almost used to force teams to pass through us to score and got plenty of cheap goals at the other end for ourselves from set pieces and corners.

Just straying off topic for a second but I remember before that when we were lethal at corners - John O'Neill near post flick on - Alan Smith - goal.

The memory must play tricks but as a kid I seem to remember just about every corner led to a goal.
