Heymister2015 Posted 22 May 2018 Posted 22 May 2018 Why would you say no on a free!! If puel has the same effect as last time, we have a player better than mahrez

That would be the only sort of deal we would offer surely? I suspect he'd push for 3 years guaranteed though on 6 figures a week which is a potential disaster. If Puel is in danger of getting the boot too, that brings Ben Arfa's delicate temperament in to jeopardy very quickly. I'd rather we look elsewhere. 3

Heymister2015 Posted 25 May 2018 Posted 25 May 2018 I don’t but I remember seeing PSG fans asking why he wasn’t being picked despite having a star studded team. 2 hours ago, gerrytaggart said: Behave.

MC Prussian Posted 26 May 2018 Posted 26 May 2018 He's a very good central attacking midfielder, but yards off his past pace by now and you're likely looking at another Silva scenario, wherein the player needs A LOT of training and match practice to get back to full fitness. By the time Ben Arfa's ready, he'll be 32. Huge gamble.

He's also been linked with a return to his former club Olympique Lyonnais.
les-tah Posted 30 May 2018 Posted 30 May 2018 (edited) At his best he could be a mahrez replacement. But if Puel doesn't want him then im excited who we might get.... However i am equally terrified as we could be left with Gray, Diabate, Albrighton, maybe Roberts. All of which will not get you 10+ assist and 10+goals every season.. probably combined wouldn't get that either Edited 30 May 2018 by les-tah

If he's going to Rennes or Lyon we clearly don't want him. Our pay offer would blast any offer they made out of the water.

That sort of player would be looking to sign for a champions league team if they had the ability to do that. Unless we sign an unknown like Mahrez was when he first signed. Which I guess we would initially be unhappy with anyway untill we see some games under their belt. People need to get use to the fact that mahrez won't be replaced by a player of equal quality.
MC Prussian Posted 11 June 2018 Posted 11 June 2018 Hasn't played regularly in more than a full year. Wants to join a club with European football or Champions League in sight. If ever there were attitude issues... How about working your way back up instead, with a more modest plan/approach in mind?
