I'd be disappointed if we didn't get him, to be honest. On song, he could definitely ease the creative burden of Riyad leaving.

That's a big ask. He's turned 31 in March and is notoriously hard to coach, throwing his toys of out the pram on more than just one occasion.

Four, five years ago in his heyday - definitely. But now...?

You have to ask yourself why nobody else has come in for him in January or why he couldn't even get a loan move.

Double edged sword. On his day a wonderful footballer but a handful to handle.

Puel brought him to life again once but I don't know if he can pull it off once again.

Yep, I agree. I reckon the Ben Arfa ship has sailed. He'd be a gamble too far.

Great player in his day but he went astray somewhere. I'm not sure his heart is in the game anymore.

I’m still wondering if Puel is considering resurrecting Ben Arfa’s career...

I think it depends on how much it costs to bring him in, it all about risk versus reward, I'd imagine he wants to play he could do a good job, and Puel is one of the few managers who has got a tune out of him. It could be a masterstroke that buys Puel more time to build and make changes or it could be another stick he gets beat with if it goes wrong.

It's a tough one.

Not sure it ever was, he’s just good at what he does.

I'm veering on no side of the camp on this one. Arfa had a short renaissance and I can only assume went to PSG happily to sit on the bench and get paid handsomely to do so.

Whilst he would be a free, I suspect he'll want a fat wage. Is he likely to ruffle feathers of others in the team with a bad attitude, and is this penance for his potential quality? i'd rather we forked out and brought in Thorgan Hazard, less risk, younger, and can play all across the attacking midfield, with a sweet cross and fk.

I think Ben Arfa still has something to offer. I'd prefer Hazard, but I wouldn't scoff at the former if Puel managed to light a fire under him. I mean, after his time at PSG, I would think that he has something left to prove.

On another note hes the same age as Vardy.

31 years old is not too old people. You could argue he has an attitude problem or his hearts not in it! But age is not an issue here.

A 31 year old who hasn't played in a game for over a year and with a questionable attitude throughout all his career.

It's a no from me too.

Is it a bad move bringing him in with Roberts and another?

Similar to Dragovic and Evans double signing, he's a safety net of experience.

We should sign him just for the fans who think Kelechi’s name is “Ian Nacho”

I laughed when I read that... and then I thought....

Nah, can't be can there??

He was great on his day, but too old now, his memory is going, eyesight failing and backs gone, though he still has all his own teeth.

Not forgetting his incontinency!
