Has Alli ever passed to Vardy? We have an answer...

A couple of weeks back I asked the question: “Has Dele Alli ever passed to Jamie Vardy on England duty?” Many thanks to Leo De Wissel, of Anstey, who did a bit of research...

“I had wondered this and aired the view only to be ridiculed, scoffed at, and have my eyesight questioned. Undeterred I have watched all the England games in which they have played together and noted every intended pass from Alli to Vardy - this does not include balls that reached Vardy by accidentally ricocheting off another player or where Alli’s pass was clearly meant for someone else, but Vardy intercepted it.

“I also tried to count the number of passes from Alli to Harry Kane but they were too numerous. So, how many passes has the talented Mr Alli made to Jamie Vardy while on joint duty for England? Believe it or not, the answer is... NIL.”

The bigger stat would be how many opportunities did Alli have to pass to Vardy and didn't, I expect that to be fairly high

Doesn't surprise me at all. Just have to watch the games to see we very rarely pass to Vardy; the Netherlands game is an example, ~30 minutes of nothing

Alli reminds me of the one at 5 a side who spends the match showboating or attempting to take on everyone if a pass to his mate isn’t on.

I think Vardy is a bit of an ugly duckling to that group of players.... he doesn’t stand a chance of starting at the World Cup unfortunately. But really he is exactly what England need if they want to take it seriously.

I personally think this is the reason Southgate has told him he's no cert for Russia.

 

He's a spoilt mardy little brat. This also shows what playing for England means to him.

 

I hope the little spud cvnt gets left at home this summer.

Regardless of whether he passes to Vardy or not, Alli is a scroat. He should learn a bit of humility. He's a good player but not as good as he thinks he is.

I've said before, I can't stand the guy. His rise to fame has destroyed persona and now he's a cocky prat who thinks he's the best. 

The guy has talent, but once again he's apparently useless for England, and i genuinely hope Southgate has the bollocks to drop him and bring him down a level.

Ex England players will happily admit that there are cliques in the England dressing room and the United, Chelsea and Liverpool players openly hated each other. This is definitely believable.

We all know some of the players don't like each other. Would you like a player that three weeks ago was kicking lumps out of you. But they would pass to each other. Ali blatantly won't pass. Spoilt little cvnt needs to get his head out of his arse and stop blowing Kane.
