Can’t people see the contradictions of having this threat and the a puel out thread , the same peope slating Mahrez are voting to shack Puel

FFS wake up Puel has a hard core of dandy men who don’t want to be coached they want to do what ever they want to do and Mahrez is the chief of this , they have given up in playing and it’s not Puel’s fault

mahrez needs to go and Puel needs to be let pick his own new players.

Very very hard for people to have any negative thoughts about a group of players that gave us a dream we never thought possible. But as much as they will forever be the immortals we have to look to the future or perish.

Who can blame the fans?

A lot of supporters will be glad seeing the back of him.

Which is a shame, with all the great positive things he's done since he joined us from Le Havre.

Any supporter glad to see the back of Riyad Mahrez should start following another sport because they’re clearly cluess about football

We're fvcked even more if he leaves. Even with him having a somewhat poor season, he still leads our assists chart. He's got about 5 or 6 more assists than Albrighton even though Albrighton crosses about 50 times a game.

You're confusing Mahrez with the rest of the squad. One player refused to turn up for work, the rest didn't.

You're also suggesting that it's impossible for both Mahrez and Puel's actions to have impacted negatively on us. Obviously the two aren't mutually exclusive.

A lot of fans may also consider that it's simply impractical for Puel to continue because of the collapse in support, regardless of whether it's deserved or not.

And I'm sure they are bearing in mind that these 'dandy men' are also for the most part our greatest ever set of players. They deserve respect for that, and not to be accused of betraying the boss by fans and pundits. In fact, the inside info doesn't even point the finger at the same players who supposedly clashed with Ranieri, it blames players who weren't even at the club at the time.

The Mahrez incident was disastrous and things may have been different had it never happened. But things do happen and managers must deal with them.

But even if we choose not to ask questions of how Puel dealt with Mahrez, we have to ask questions of his ability to communicate, of his team selections and substitutions, of him asking players to play a game which they're incapable of playing rather than waiting until he could assemble the personnel. You can ask why he's taken over two sides in two years and had almost exactly the same set of problems. And even if you have some sympathy for him, you can see how difficult, perhaps impossible, it will be for him to go on from here.

Last chance for many of us to see him in our shirt tonight. It’s a shame he will bow out with himself and team in such a slump having been a magical (and often frustrating) player

not sure we will see the likes of him again for a long time at this club.

He certainly tarnished his reputation in January but man he was amazing in the league winning season

Indeed. My main reason for going tonight to be honest.

100% the reason my son and i are travelling to watch this as the drivel that CP has us playing is not worth the journey.

Despite a number of people being negative he is absolute quality and will definitely go on to prove this elsewhere imo.

The most gifted talented player I have seen and sadly we didn’t use the two years to build a stronger side for him to play in - didn’t agree with his actions in Jan but he’s a young man being badly advised.

A true LCFC legend who we will really struggle to replace - Riyad it’s been a real pleasure watching your gifted abilities.

Truly disappointed in him after his last performances, particularly against Palace and WHU.

I don't think he deserves to start tonight.

His non performance on Saturday was a disgrace. The team were awful and most put a lack of effort in but this guy took the absolute piss. Every touch was too much trouble,he rarely jogged let alone ran, he was pathetic. Too often his half arsed attitude stands out and I for one am sick of him and half this team. There's plenty of skilful players we can sign  who will actually run and look like they enjoy playing. Thanks for the memories but wanted off a long time ago and is a shocking sulk.

It’s actually a very sad indictment that he can’t actually see how lucky he is to be a professional footballer, to be rewarded handsomely for doing something most people can only dream about, not to try, to be sulking for so long he’s a classic example of the pampered modern day footballer. Sad.

Mahrez is the greatest player I've seen wear a Leicester shirt. I'd never disrespect the guy - he's made dreams a reality.

Can't blame him for playing bad under this manager with these awful tactics.

The disrespect levels towards Mahrez from some on here are shameful.

Kante gets more love than Mahrez yet Kante was the one who left at the first opportunity - Mahrez was the one who stayed loyal to us along with Vardy so why does Mahrez get the stick over Kante? How does that work?!

Mahrez brings the excitement to the fans that pay to watch the team - so any armchair fans disrespecting Mahrez can do one in my opinion. Those of us that saw the miracle happen before our eyes will realise that Mahrez is an LCFC legend, worthy of some basic respect.

To call Mahrez a rodent is just disgusting - don't know how you can call yourself a Leicester fan describing him that way.

.....Mahrez at his best is a joy to watch and probably the best player ever to wear the shirt!!!

The reason why Kante get all the love is that he has been true to the club and himself. He did not particularly want to come to Leicester but as we were the only offer left on the table for him at the time, he signed the deal. The rest as you know is history, Mahrez won player of the year that year although many thought it should have been Kante but he went on to win the league with Chelsea and justifiably Player of the year. Kante was not in love with the club but he gave 100% every time he played, going to Chelsea was the next step when the opportunity came about.

This forum is inclined to denigrate its players and such description should not be part of  our social forum.

Another reason why you perceive Mahrez is not "getting the love" is because lately he has been hiding in games, going through the motion, going central, where he is not to be, or as previously stated ever wanted to be. He is stealing a living with his current attitude and the need to now sell him in the summer is now greater than ever. He is letting himself down and his foolish antics in respect of the previous transfer windows does him no favors and is  contributory to his waning popularity.

Definitely be a sad day when he goes, but I really do think we have got to the point now where it will be better for us in the long-run. His strops and hot and cold form are so tiresome now. Most gifted player we have ever seen play here, but I'm excited to see what we can do with the £60-70 million we should get for him plus whatever Top gives us. I expect we could be set for a £100million transfer kitty if the reports are accurate and it is certainly needed this summer.

We are crying out for a fresh start and I'd like to see a big squad shake-up with players like Wes, Fuchs, Mahrez, Okazaki, King and so on.. all moved on.

It's going to be an incredibly important summer for us and so we must sort the Manager's situation as soon as possible.

For his own career he should have left before now, if we're being honest.

Agree, although if he thinks he will ever be a starter at Man City, then he is mistaken, so he needs to choose his next club wisely.

Vardy would be harder to replace than Mahrez in my opinion. It's not particularly difficult or over expensive to sign a wide midfielder that assists and scores 5-10 goals every season. We could pick up Shaqiri for about 15 million, job done.

Provided he shows more consistency, I'm fairly certain he can. Right wing, instead of Sterling. No matter how much the latter improved, Mahrez is still streets ahead when it comes to vision, skills and passing.

15 million would get you a player from Bristol City these days. Stoke will demand a ransom for Shaqiri.

I'm actually underwhelmed by the prospect of Shaqiri. Not convinced by him at all.

Not when he's got a relegation release clause they won't.

MEMO to mr mahrez if u really think that some team at the top of the tree will give u a starting spot week in week out u got rocks in ur head. yes u can be brilliant which suits us but the big boys demand it every game and every week, which u are incapable of delivering. and if u need further proof ask ur ex team mate MR DRINKWATER what its like getting splinters in ur arse, every week..

Shaqiri would be a decent replacement. Even more inconsistent than Mahrez but similar type of player and better at set pieces. Not the most energetic mind.

Zaha is probably the other best winger outside the top 6 but we couldn’t get him.

Recent reports in Switzerland claim that there is a £12 million release clause in the Stoke man's contract.

I'm with you though and don't see this as the top signing some others do.
