Difficult for a Palace fan to forgive him for that ‘shinner’ in 1996 play-off final

I was behind the goal (ish) and watched that go in. It was one of those moments where time seemed to stand still as we watched and waited as the ball looped goalwards, Nigel Martyn rooted to the spot... and then all around me erupted.

Masterful substitution from MON :D

It's a good series that. Particularly the one on Mark Chapman, who for my money is the best presenter in the business these days.

All I see is a begging advert for orphans outside of Britain during Ramadan? Hmm ?

The adverts are based on your search history...

I didn't actually think he was much cop on the old championship show.

nonsense, he was probably the best on that show.

very clued up on the technical side of football. articulate and humorous with it.

a cut above the average footy pundit.

Everyone’s minds were on Kalac and penalties, I was lucky to be there and as you say time did seem to stand still and then pandemonium

Hard to believe he was only here for 2 years. I remember being so excited when we signed him from Birmingham.

He's a legend as far as I am concerned.

I always thought he was harsh about us on the FL Show even when we blitzed it 2014 however i briefly met him last year and he was full of genuine praise for the club and fans. One of the few footballers I’ve actually met but he was well alright and he knows his stuff.Very different bloke in real life.

I ended up two rows behind me hugging some woman in a yellow coat…. The place just went nuts

I only saw the goal go in…. Like everyone else I was too focused on spider coming on!

got a lift there and back in a cronky old camper van…. Treated like returning hero’s on the Narborough Road

Good times…!

Ha. Didn't know that was a thing. Me and my mate were discussing not being able to handle watching the pens. Don't really remember how much of the goal I saw but do remember being slightly surprised play was actually happening, and then us an everyone else going full pelt mental.
