Yeh I can excuse Russia somewhat because their players are awful but Spain have always been a let down in terms of entertainment.

 

It’s alright if they go behind because they step it up but they’re just interested in keep ball once they’re in front.

Yeah they really lost their way after Villa and Torres went past their best. 

 

There was a period when they combined tiki taka with a desire to get balls forward a little more eagerly to their strikers. It was more like watching Barca at their peak. 

 

Still not for everyone I concede but much better than it has been for the last few years. 

 

Now they don't have the same faith in their strikers, ever since they first put Fabregas up front and brought the false in to prominence, they really have been quite dull.

Dunno how he can claim innocence there. Yes you propel with arms, but it's stayed up while the right ones gone down like it should

Oh yeah like I say, I appreciate it was still an acquired taste but I did enjoy their world cup winning team. 

 

I agree, I much preferred peak Germany. 

 

The game with the Lampard ghost goal where they absolutely battered you (not taking the piss) was one of the best performances from an international team I can remember seeing. 

 

They did it to Argentina as well iirc.

I really like the big target man! Old fashioned centre forward but he’s got a bit about him too and not bad with his feet. He’d do a job for plenty of Prem teams in need of a big ugly bastard!
