Sorry I misread your question mate.

I assume he just wasn’t picked rather than injured

Fabregas spot on at half time, it’s possession to defend. It’s so boring.

But pundits, fans and the media believe this is the best way to play.

What’s the difference between this defensive possession and playing with two banks of four on the counter? Yet the latter style gets slated as negative !

Spain a bit lacklustre after taking the lead through an own goal.

Russia didn‘t strike me as particularly dangerous going forward until the first shot on goal late into the first half.

1-1 probably a fair score on the whole so far, don‘t see what Piqué has to moan about, that arm has nothing to do in the air.

Yeah they really lost their way after Villa and Torres went past their best.

There was a period when they combined tiki taka with a desire to get balls forward a little more eagerly to their strikers. It was more like watching Barca at their peak.

Still not for everyone I concede but much better than it has been for the last few years.

Now they don't have the same faith in their strikers, ever since they first put Fabregas up front and brought the false in to prominence, they really have been quite dull.

There was a period where they were really good to watch and created chance after chance with their forward thinking passing and were light years ahead of other teams. These days though, they're like a tribute act to the side of the early 2010s, passing just to keep the ball with no intention of creating chances, not even one-touch stuff, just slow, boring and never going to unlock a defence. And it doesn't work because their defence is suspect and can't keep a clean sheet

I never liked the style it was boring and I’m glad that direct football with pace is starting to win out more often than not...

Spain so passive and slow .

Our half of the draw is so open ..

Even more reason why we won't win tomorrow then !

And we don’t play tomorrow, another reason we won’t win!

Nobody thinks this is the best way to play.

Literally everyone is criticising it.
