Looks like the 18s and 23s are all going too from some Instagram stories, do they usually all go?

I think there's games arranged for them all over there this summer. I like the idea of them all feeling part of things and the motivation that if they impress they could get a gig in one of the first team games, it's great for confidence. I am intrigued by Puel's use of Ndukwu who went from being the best youngster the club had seen in years (Muzzy Izzet's words from when he was working with our academy coaches) aged 15/16 to doing absolutely nothing since.

He definitely has ability, have heard rumblings of attitude problems but he may have grown up now? Was on the bench for final game of the season so Puel must see something. Also scored goal of the season from half way line. Looking forward to watching the game Wednesday as I didn’t see any of Saturdays.

Going back to the like for like back up for Maddison, could Ndukwu fill that role?? From what I’ve seen last season Barnes & Thomas are ahead of him & probably Kapustka too? But maybe Puel’s seen something he likes in Ndukwu.

Nduwku is a left footed winger who plays on the right (Mahrez who?) I think the competition for the Maddison role now Barnes is off and likely Thomas is too will simply be Iheanacho or Okazaki. Kapustka, I hope will be involved but he's usually deployed on the left and cutting in but I suppose could play there.

The kids are going to Poland, not Austria

He's been injured recently, but none of the kids have convincing end product really. (Apart from the CBs) lol

I think that Kapustkas coach from Poland said that his best position was as a 10 or an attacking cm

Yes I remember reading that, he also played in the 8 role for his club side but I think his lack of physical presence pushed him out wide for club and country.

My eyes might have been deceiving me but Kapustka looked a fair bit stronger physically on Saturday than he has been previously. I'd like to see him given time to impress in the next month or so.

Not the first time I’ve said this but what is ‘the 8 role’?

Playing as a traditional central midfielder?

Haha, it's a lazy way of saying an attack minded central midfielder.
