This is true, he’s clearly kept himself in peak condition but his body just lets him down.

It's not Mendy's fault a club chose to employ him and he suffered with injuries

Agreed, but as football fans he is the visible one who will get the stick. I do think he looks overweight though which then leads me to think he couldn’t give a shit really.

 

Signing like this, deals like James getting a contract extension and the various other bizarre new contracts will eventually see us go down.

Matty James managed to play 3 games a week from January to May 2017, hoodwink a new 4 year deal worth about £10m and then not strung more than half a dozen games together once again. The loyalty we've shown to some of our players is coming back to bite us.

I know, it was partly tongue in cheek but to answer his question we have seen him play for an extended period of time but the Mendy signing has been a complete shambles.
