Might need Kapustka back in the frame now as Vardy is out for at least 3 games, short on Strikers if Okazaki is still injured and Slimani, Musa & Ulloa gone with Barnes & Thomas out on loan. Hope this is less confusing for some folks on here ...

See I thought there'd be a championship club willing to take a chance on him. He might be able to find his feet at that level and could be a gamble that pays off for someone.

god i hope we dont put gray up front still think he is a waste of space, he really just runs around like a chook with its head cut of.

I think he’s looked quite good in our first two matches. Early days of course but he looks miles ahead of where he has been in the past.

I'm surprised Puel hasn't tried to integrate him in to the first team fold as he ticks a lot of boxes of the type of player he likes, which probably indicates how disappointing he's been since signing here 2 years ago.

He didn't impress at Freiburg either and he probably suits the Bundesliga more than any other top league in Europe. Tells you what you need to know sadly.

Make it or break it for Bartosz this season. Unsuccessful loan spell at SC Freiburg, doesn't want to move to Serie B to kick off his young career again.

Either we find a suitable club he wants to play for (it's not as if he can be overly choosy) or he'll have to put in extra shifts with the U23s.

Thought he looked quite lively at times in the Everton U23 match. Certainly in the first half anyway. Whole team faded in the second half.

Looked decent from what I saw of him (poor stream again) tries to play a bit of football but don’t think he will be given a chance with Maddison playing so well and Barnes putting in great performances at West Brom...

Having seem the both play together last year, my immediate reaction was that (apart from the accent!) if you didn't know any better, you wouldnt be able to correctly guess which one was the local academy lad from Countesthorpe and which one was the Polish international who potentially cost us £7m as Barnes looked a far better all round player...!

Apologies, perhaps my logic wasn't very clear.   You wouldn't be able to correctly guess which one they had paid £7m for as you would assume it was the No.10 (ie Barnes) as he seemed the much better player.   Is that any clearer?

I think it'll be interesting what happens if it's 0-0 come the 60-70 minute mark on Saturday...

As I'd love to see Puel throw on someone like Kapustka (or Diabate despite his recent poor form) and give him 30 minutes or so to run at Hoedt and the Southampton defence.

I think Bartosz has been a little underplayed considering he has great international experience compared to some of our other back up options...

So what should we do. It's 0-0 with 70 minutes gone against Southampton on Saturday. Kelechi is just really not having a good day at all... How do you change it up?

I like Gray but he's best on the wing. Okazaki is useful as a foil for another striker but not ploughing a lonely furrow on his own. I love Hamza too  - but he's not a striker?
