If he can't impress in the Belgian 2nd division, he hardly ever will.

Clearly has the talent, and only is at the start of his career still.

Too good for that league, should make a terrific impact for Leuven, and Pearson ought to be able to shape the little Cabbage accordingly.

Good on us them us them.

Perhaps he thought the Belgium second and Nige would be better for his development. He's not really set the u23s alight. Hope he comes back a new player.

Can't believe he turned down Serie B to go and play amateur football. Nuts

If he rejected it because of wage contributions etc, King Power are still paying his full wage now so he’s laughing?!

To be fair Hirst is what, 17? Cabbage is 4 years older so should be streets ahead development wise.

Or maybe Hirst is just way ahead for a 17-year old and playing in a different position with different requirements altogether.

It depends how damage his confidence is. He hardly tore up trees for our own u23 side so I suspect it's completely shattered.

As ridiculous as it sounds, playing in a league of that poor standard might be what he needs just to give him a chance to succeed. I think he just needs to play first team football again and be one of the stand-outs rather than "that bloke we signed but who has massively disappointed."

This guy needs a rapid improvement curve, if he wants to have a future with us. He has ability, no doubt, but at the moment, he will be lucky to even have a career at Championship level. Needs to toughen up and start producing with some goals/assists. This move could be a real confidence builder, but he needs to be a stand out player for them, if he wants any hope of a future back here with us. Good Luck Lil Cabbage!

I think confidence is a big issue for him. It was a big change moving to us when he did, and we've had what, 2 managerial changes since he's been here? Not great for a young player trying to find their feet.

Fingers crossed Nige puts his arm 'round him and he excels in a league he's too good for, IMHO.

He's a good technical player but he needs to learn how to hold onto the ball or at east not lose it to the opposition when in possession, he needs to toughen up, I reckon the Championship would have exposed this weakness even more.

He should absolutely stand out at this level, cos it’s shite

I hope it kick starts his career
