What absolutely devastating news. My heart, and the thoughts of every single Stoke City fan, goes out to all of you affected by this tragedy. 

 

Our club motto is Vis Unita Fortior (United Strength is Stronger), and please know that the entire footballing world is united behind your club and your city.

This is just awful.  It would take an absolute miracle for him to still be alive unless he somehow decided not to get on the helicopter at the last second.

 

The helicopter just went silent, I turned round and it was just spinning, out of control. And then there was a big bang and then [a] big fireball."

Leo Bruka told 5 Live that he saw two police officers whose car was near the crash scene.

"One of them was looking for something and the other one, he ran straight away to the helicopter and he was trying to break the window," he said.

"Then there is an explosion and they pulled back because the fire was too hot."

Irish fox fan here for over 40 years.I watched the game last night in a local rural pub.Watchin the second half unfold it crossed my mind why I support this club.For some reason last night  during the game I just felt total frustration.It crossed my mind about the owners and wondered what they were thinking.I know the football club has been totally changed since it was purchased in 2010.The club now  has modern facilities and is very ambitious.I left the pub after the match fuming over the dropping of two points.I had my own views on what Puel should of done etc against ten men.

Then I got home and I heard the shocking news

From the outside,these owners are different then many who are involved in other clubs.Unbelievable sad news.My thoughts and prayers are with families,fans and the club.Keep strong.

In an era where football club owners are generally accused of stripping lucrative premier league cash away from the club, Vichai and his family have been the complete opposite. We’ve all been so fortunate. 

 

From free beer and donuts, right up to the £2million donation to Leicester’s children hospital, Vichai has concerned himself with benefitting the community, rather than just taking. 

 

I think this is why this tragedy has had such an affect on us all. I’m still hoping for a miracle, after all he helped provide one before. ????

Coventry fan in peace. Occasionally something happens that highlights what a nonsense football rivalries are, this is one of those times. Vichai was one of football's good guys, which makes this news even harder to swallow. Thoughts are with everyone at the club.

I must be one of the few who didn't know about this until today (my eyes don't work so well in the evening so I can't use my PC then and I tend to turn in early).  Well my eyes aren't working too well this morning now for a different reason.  This is a terrible tragedy for the families of all involved in the crash, for our football club and for the wider football community.  I've read every post in this thread and have genuinely been touched by the outpouring of support from football fans around the world, my heartfelt thanks to you all.  Our owners have made our club very special and it's achievements have struck a chord with all who love this game, regardless of which shirts they wear.

There are no words that can do this justice, really. The Srivaddhanaprabha family has touched all of our lives, and given us, and the club, more than we can ever repay.

 

I've read every post to this thread, as I'm sure hundreds of others have. It's incredible to see such an outpouring of emotion. We're so fortunate to have owners that are beloved, which certainly isn't the case for most clubs. They are truly one of a kind.

 

When the time comes, assuming the worst, we'll show Top and the rest of his family that we're all grieving with him, and that he's far from alone in this.

I'm still in utter shock. These owners have been unreal and I pray that whoever was on board that helicopter have managed to somehow escape. 

 

It's wonderful to see all the support from Leicester fans and the wider global football community so thank you for the support. Let's hope our prayers are answered.

Sheffield united fan here just wanted to pass on my best wishes to you all. Such tragic news.

 

Attended the recent England game at King Power with my young un for our 1st England game. Talking to the Leicester fans that night it was clear how much love and respect you have for your owner. 

 

From the outside he seems a genuinely decent bloke who cares about the fans and the community he’s bought into not just the football club as a toy like some other owners. He’s given every football fan hope and belief in the modern games with what he has achieved and I think this is why it’s hit the whole football world hard.

Absolutley devasted to learn of this awful tragedy. Learning that Vichai may have been on board is incredibly distressing. Nobody deserves to perish this way, but least of all someone that has done so much for your club and football in general.

I feel so desrerately sad this morning at what has happened. Vichai's ownership of LCFC has been the best period in our history, no question. He has shown immense love to the club and indeed the people of Leicester outside of football, as seen in his multimillion pound donation to the Children's hospital following the title. Always kind, always gracious. An absolute gentleman in and out of football. My prayers are with him and his family. They are amazing people and my thoughts are with them at this desperate time. I hope we get a miracle.
