All last night I think that I was in shock and just couldn’t comprehend it. Having been at the ground one hour and the next to see the images on Twitter just didn’t seem real. It was like a film or something and to accept the magnitude that it actually happened felt implausible. 

 

When I got home my girlfriend was asleep so didn’t talk about it to anyone just checked this thread and sat in silence and then went to bed. Anyway she just asked me how was it? And I started speaking about what the owners did for us from choosing us when we were in league one to where they took us. I couldn’t help myself and started crying, in the last 10 years I have cried twice.

 

Those two times were the night that we won the league and 10 minutes ago. Both down to one man who it’s clear to see we all consider family. 

 

It would be impossible to list of all the positives that this man has done for our club and how he has affected us in different ways. And that is testament to his humble nature.

 

As a city we have been in receipt of some

of the kindest and most generous actions that I have witnessed from an owner of any business. Football club owners are so often tainted with traits such as greed and selfishness. What we have goes so much against these stereotypes.

 

Whatever happens and I pray for positive news, we love you Vichai and will be eternally grateful for what you have done for our city and football club.

I didn't have chance last night but wanted to express my sympathies at what's happened. It doesn't sound like there will be any good news, so all I can do is say stick together and you'll all get through this as a club.

Vichai allowed us to dream and delivered the most spectacular moments any fan could ever dream of. We have had champions league football at the KP, moments that supporters will never forget. He was truly instrumental in defining this clubs destiny. Whilst I pray that somehow he's okay and wait for official news, I don't think anyone will forget what this guy has done for us fans and the city in general. ????

Manchester United fan here, never signed up for another football teams forum, this is a first for me, I’ve been following this terrible tragedy over night and was really praying for some good news to come our of this awful situation, which unfortunately doesn’t seem likely now.

 

I’m sure I speak for all United fans, devestated for you guys, the owner was a decent human being, a fantastic foxes supporter and a philanthropist, sending love to his family and friends all over, and last but not least, to all you foxes.

But just had a quick look and the other threads are still open and people are still discussing last nights game and vardys performance etc. I think the admins should lock the other threads for now as a mark of respect. Not sure how others are able to talk about anything else besides this anyways?

As a Derby fan, we may be rivals when it comes to playing the game but today, we are all United behind you.

 

Vichai is one of those special characters that don't come around too often, and who united the football world in hope that you guys would win the league. He truly created a fairytale and on behalf of all Rams fans, we can only offer our condolences for any and all who lost their lives and pray that miracles do happen.  Either way, just know, you are not alone. We hurt with you.

Some of us are dealing with this in our own way. There's no disrespect intended, believe me, it's just very difficult (for me anyway) to process this let alone say anything about it.

I think people are allowed to deal with news like this in their own ways. I appreciate the sentiment but you can't and shouldnt force grief.

We're all in this together but should be allowed to react and process it individually.

I highly doubt Tuesdays game will go ahead, but I’m going to get myself down to the KP is the scene allows to pay my respects and light a candle. If anyone would like to join me that would perfect. A mass gathering of solidarity and a show of unity at this truly awful time.

What Vichai has done for this club is probably the reason why I love to watch and play football so much now, before he came in the club languished in insignificance (In league 1) and my love of football waned too,  Hopefully good news to come out of it, but seems unlikely given the lack of updates so far.

Please don't think this is a dig at you or Manchester United because it absolutely isn't but for me the contrast between our owners and yours is why I have so much admiration for Vichai and Top. Whereas the Glazers have stripped the soul from your club in a pretty ruthless way, our owners gave us soul and put the heart back in to the football club. They actually really care about the club and the fans which is so rare in the Premier League these days.

 

Even if the title win had never happened I'm willing to bet that if you'd interviewed the 30,000 there last night, you'd have found very few, if any fans with a bad word to say about the owners. At most clubs fans are indifferent to their owners, at some clubs the fans detest their owners; at LCFC the owners are universally loved.

 

Vichai made himself part of the community, always behaving generously  and impeccably. It's just so gut-wrenching.

Me and my mate are going down to the ground. I feel I need to go as I said in an earlier post I’ve never met the man but feel so deflated, low and gutted.

These boys have made it possible for me and the city to experience the elation and joy and to witness the best thing ever to happen to our club.
