Even if you don't use it. I've still got 14/30 codes left so it wouldn't matter that much

Any codes left mate? I'm about to go through the rigmarole of cancelling etc. after my bill jumped up about 30%!

I've been quoted £63 p/m for sports, box sets, Netflix, HD plus broadband. Thoughts? I was paying £70 before but keen to get BT Sports given I won't get to many EL games but that included takes it to over £90 🥴

Thoughts appreciated! X

No contact from Sky following my cancellation, so with a few days to go until I am cut off, I gave them a call.

My renewal price was £106, but had a special offer for £86, which I turned down.

Phoned today, and they have offered me £58 pm, for their new entertainment pack, Sy Sports and BT sports (all HD).  Basically everything except movies.  And a free SKY Q install (usually £99).

Quite chuffed with that.

This might have answered my question!! This sounds very good!

@Haywood_6 Do you guys do short term deals? I only want to sign up for The Ashes for a couple of months, is this possible?

I believe so over BT sport..

Go in their internet for requirements...Internet/BT box/Sky box with BT subscription...available Short term..

Cancelled my Sky package today after it went up to £155. After a bit of toing & froing the best they could offer me was £145 a month.

Got to look for a new broadband provider now.

For purely broadband I found BT the best, but they aren't cheap

I think that’s who I will go with, my brother in-law works for them and can get me a slight discount.

Blimey what were you getting for that?

Everything, Sky sports, bt sport, movies, kids tv, multi room, broadband. It was £110 but with the offers ending it shot right up.

For most people Virgin are going to be the best by a mile. BT/OpenReach tops out at 76mbps for the majority. We really need more providers and some competition, I suspect CityFibre will shake things up.

It seems like a bit of a mick-take that BT and Sky are allowed to sell their broadband under the title of 'superfast'.

100%. The whole marketing of Broadband really annoys me to be honest. Far more than it would annoy a normal person!

As a result most people don't understand the difference between broadband and WiFi, and think they are the same thing. They then think they have a poor internet connection because they use terrible wifi.

The names like fast, superfast etc are ridiculous. 10gbps would be super fast, 30mbps is slow, but called superfast.

Just say expected speeds, i.e. up to 20, up to 40/80, up to 500, up to 1000 and then people can see which is better. I don't think you need to even understand what a bit is to know that 1000 is much quicker than 80
