And this is only up until 2015.....

Sounds familiar here in the US. They have been trying to destroy Social Security in much the same way for many years.

All the while stealing money, for their pet projects, from the fund that people have paid into their whole lives.

You'd think they were running the same playbook all over the world. This will not end well for anyone. Least of all our corporate masters and their lackeys.

The real question is what do you do when people you are trying to control have run out of fear and have nothing left to lose.

The monster that situation creates is my fear. We badly need to start answering problems with love. Its the only answer.

We need two things, love and to smash the evil rich.

Just teach them how to Love instead of Fear. Come to think of it that's maybe why we're here.

Sounds like Labour might have Pboro proving again that individual candidates can be awful people and get by on their rosette. Still at least it might burst the BXP bubble

Just read up on her, terrible. Another antisemite.

Surprised how well the Tory vote held up - shows again BXP are taking votes off both of the main parties

Its ironic that the people who claim that those who voted for Brexit were 'stupid' and 'ill informed', yet it seems 'some' of those people seeming still vote for the Labour Party, absolutely baffling.

They are unelectable if Corbyn stays in charge and they continue to pedal their nonsense half assed 'customs union deal'. Their complete unaffordable and dangerous state asset ceasing, and despite being the party of 'alleged niceness' want to take anyone who has a garden - yes that's anyone - £400 a year at least in their 'land for the many policy'. Do they want us all to live in Soviet style tower blocks??

They are absolutely frightening.

Seeing Corbyn's mouth frothing speech at the Trump demo, also gives me serious concerns about his levels of hate and his sanity.

Trying to give her the benefit of the doubt that she might just be careless in her social media use, but she sounds like a Corbynista bonehead, to be honest.

Likewise, I thought the Tories would do even worse. Maybe a sign that the Brexit Party will struggle to equal, never mind match its Euro election performance.

Yes, it did well for a new party. But this was a very pro-Brexit seat with vote usually split between Tories & Labour. With the political circumstances and momentum of the Euros, should have been perfect territory for them.

Seems as if some voters returned to the "main" parties - and more would probably do so at a general election, with the govt/PM/personal finances at stake.

Of course, Farage may draw up an attractive manifesto of other policies that catch the public imagination, but if not he might get a decent vote but very few, if any seats in a general election under FPTP.

I'm sure the Brexit Party took votes off both main parties, but a lot more off the Tories in Peterborough. The Labour vote share was markedly down, but a big chunk of that probably went to the Lib Dems (up from 3% to 12%).

Brexit Party got 29% - and Tory vote fell 25%. A few Remainer Tories probably went LD, but most of the Brexit Party's 29% will have come from the Tories, I reckon.

Of course, would be a different story elsewhere: more could defect from Labour in some Northern/Midlands seats, potentially handing them to the Tories (or Farage).

Very unpredictable scenario under FPTP. But most likely outcome seems to be perhaps 20%+ but few MPs for Brexit Party, a big drop in Lab vote, an even bigger drop in Con vote.....& Lab winning power, probably as a minority, on about 27-28% of the national vote!

I wonder what lesson Tory MPs will draw from this? Vote for a PM who won't cause a potentially disastrous general election or vote for one who'll ensure Brexit in Oct (probably No Deal) & hope to ride the consequences?

Huge lollol at the Brexit Party not getting over the line in peak Brexitland.

Just because they lost this one doesn’t make them go away. Just like when UKIP got 4m votes in 2015 with just 1 MP, and everyone thought it was hilarious and the end of UKIP, then Cameron calls a referendum and everyone is somehow surprised when Leave won. We should be taking it as a warning that they came within 600 votes of getting an MP.

Did make me laugh seeing all the mainstream media hacks spending all week patronising the people of Peterborough and telling us all they care about is Brexit and that nobody would vote for Labour because Corbyn didn't attend a state banquet held in honour of a billionaire demagogue.

Brexit Party insiders quoted as saying that it was the Pakistani voters ‘living fourteen to a house’ that made the difference.

Same racists, different party.

And you accuse me of believing any old shit. lol

They should have got over the line though - this should have been the perfect seat to win in the current situation.

If the Tory vote is still holding up like that at this stage a decent leader and they should be able to still win the next election.

Common sense prevails, wonder what the bloke leading it will do with all the money some fools gave him:whistle:

Always going to end that way, ridiculous prosecution, and if they thought it would harm Boris Johnsons leadership campaign it'll probably have the opposite affect.
