gw_leics772 Posted 27 July 2019 Posted 27 July 2019 Call me old fashioned but i reckon i could listen to audio alone, without having to see an old man tell me what happened at rovrum.

Carl the Llama Posted 27 July 2019 Posted 27 July 2019 Poor man what awful luck and in a pre-season friendly of all matches...
copunk Posted 27 July 2019 Posted 27 July 2019 Im surprised he had even slid in as albrighton had completely given up on it with about 5 yards to go, looks a bad one
car1os Posted 27 July 2019 Posted 27 July 2019 Ouch... wish Shawcross a speedy and full recovery. I know he’s not a City player but that’s a nasty injury - obvious fracture-dislocation of his ankle (you can see that from the direction his foot was pointing in during the slide) so he’ll be out for a few months I reckon

LCFC1996 Posted 27 July 2019 Posted 27 July 2019 Sounds like Iversen is having a good game for Rotherham
StriderHiryu Posted 27 July 2019 Posted 27 July 2019 Very interesting half of football to watch lots of good play but also with some concerns. Good - Lovely crisp interchange at times. - High press game working very well at times. The team press as a unit, squeeze the play in and force the turnover. - Playing the ball out from the back to keep the initiative and momentum when possible. - Making lots of chances. Bad - When Stoke have beaten our high press, we've been completely open. We will concede a number of goals from a turnover this season. - Getting into trouble when playing out from the back. Like I said in an earlier post, this is very reminiscent of Rodgers at Swansea where Vorm got caught for a few goals. But over the course of a season lead to a better attack, so it's something we need to adjust too, even if Kasper has made unforced errors today. - Not clinical enough, just like last season. This is my biggest worry for the season about to start. Do we have the goals in the team to make a push for top 6? Vardy we know can score, Perez maybe can. But it feels to me like we badly miss another clinical player in the front 3. - Lost our shape about midway through the game. Tielemans not as influential today and I feel it's because he's drifted around more than he did in the previous game. Overall though it's quite a fascinating game to watch, just to see how our style of play progresses from game to game.

Master Fox Posted 27 July 2019 Posted 27 July 2019 Did Tags just say “hopefully second half we’ll see a little more shit football”

RowlattsFox Posted 27 July 2019 Posted 27 July 2019 I think it's been pretty poor to be honest. Some neat combinations at time but far too casual and slow in the midfield. Perez has not had the best half. Hope for better in the second. Good for Kasper to save the pen but it was a poor effort. Not nice on Shawcross.
copunk Posted 27 July 2019 Posted 27 July 2019 Not a bad half, lost our way in the last 10 minutes or so, some nice interchanges and ricardo is getting in every time
TiffToff88 Posted 27 July 2019 Posted 27 July 2019 Anyone know which management teams are at which game? I''m assuming Brendan Rogers is at Stoke, but who's managing the Rotherham game? Kolo? Stowell?

Lambert09 Posted 27 July 2019 Posted 27 July 2019 Surely we can have a separate thread for the Rotherham game, is anyone there? How are we doing?

SouthStandUpperTier Posted 27 July 2019 Posted 27 July 2019 I can see what we're trying to do, and it's nearly come off for us on a few occasions, but it's all a bit 'nice' at the moment. Still, just got to remind myself (before everyone else does) that preseason is all about fitness.

LC/FC Posted 27 July 2019 Posted 27 July 2019 Anyone thinking this Diamond is slightly... Off. Seems like Maddison is top, Albrighton left, Tielemans right and Hamza bottom. Feel like Tielemans should be top, Maddison left, Albrighton right, Hamza at base so Tielemans can get into the game a bit more.
