He would need to have the worst team of advisers known to man to trigger a general election pre 31 Oct.  A lot of the shit he comes out with makes me think they’re not far off, but on this I’m pretty sure with pressure from the other parties he’ll avoid the temptation.

Who knows if the will of the people is actually still the same after all these antics? A lot has happened in these 3 years.

 

I suspect it will still be a majority for Brexit though, there are just far too many stubborn old people set in their ways that are willing to go out and vote.

That's because you can go online, order your food and they bring it to your house, but they still need a place to cook it all.

The nation didn't specify which type of Brexit it voted for. Especially with the Leave campaign plugging the line 'It will be the easiest deal to make ever' and so on.

 

There will be a percentage in the leavers that would prefer remain to no deal that is 100% fact, would it be enough to swing it back to remain? who knows. Lets find out.

its not a phrase its truth.. there was a vote.. there was a result.. that result has not been delivered.. until the result is delivered democracy is out the window.. whats the point in voting on anything if the result isn't delivered? the only people who benefit from this whole thing is remainers.. who will happily see democracy go out the window as long as they get their way.

I'm sure Farage would love a pre-Brexit election. Though what the outcome would be is anyone's guess in the context of this mayhem.

 

Even if an election were called immediately, they'd struggle to stage it before Halloween so Johnson (or any successor) would presumably still face the instruction to request an extension unless a deal has been agreed by the time of the EU Council meeting (19th Oct?). So, if Boris were still PM, he'd have to either face an election having requested an extension (cue Farage rubbing his hands with glee) - or would have to defy the law again. Odds on Boris in Pentonville by Halloween?!? :blink:

 

Plus, under the Fixed Term Parliaments Act, if the Govt loses a confidence vote, there is a 14-day period during which parliament sees if another govt CAN command confidence.....could be anyone from Jeremy Hunt to Jeremy Corbyn via Ken Clarke, in theory. That 14-day period alone would prevent there being an election before Halloween, wouldn't it, as there's a minimum of 4-5 weeks between an election being called and happening?

no your right.. it was very simple leave or stay.. we voted leave.

PM frustrated parliament. He lied to the people. He lied to Parliament. He lied to the Queen. Supreme Court found he broke the law. He's not fit to be Prime Minister! Disgraceful!

When does anything you ever vote for ever get delivered!? lol

 

I voted for Free tuition fees from the Lib Dems a few years ago - still waiting for that to be delivered as well.
