Looks like Gerrard has ruled himself  out now .

Danny Rohl favourite now apparently.

Danny Rohl as we seen is decent manager but im not sure he is ready to handle a club or expectations of Rangers.

Sometimes your club makes you proud.

We are fairly milking the Cup win, but its great to see it done in a way to benefit the far flung fans and community.

The smart money is on Kevin Muscat, but he still has 6 weeks of the Chinese season to go.

Interim manager, Neil McCann is the latest.

Ten Haag maybe the next to be linked i think.. perhaps the next to reject it aswell.

One outside shout might be Michael O'Neill the Northern Ireland boss.

Aware they don't have a policy of not picking up Catholics but based on the current atmosphere around the club I cant see them appointing one in Michael O'Neill

The rumours going around is that Muscat be appointed in November with Neil McCann as his #2 who will take charge whilst KM finishes the season in China.

The Rangers job is a nightmare. Similar to the Man United job in that their rivals are doing so much better yet the expectations are to be better than them.

They need a Nigel Pearson style rebuild IMO.

Don't disagree with a refresh, but I don't think the expectation is to be better than Celtic (for now) — they just keep appointing shite managers which is the issue. Expecting Rangers to have won more than one league game by mid October doesn't reek of grandeur.

Their squad isn't actually *that* bad.

Muscat would be perfect for them though, a goblin bloke in charge of a goblin club with goblin fans.

I wasn't suggesting that Martin shouldn't have been sacked. Frankly, it's incredible he lasted this long.

I agree that the expectation isn't to be better than Celtic, but they certainly have to be competing with them. Celtic don't even look that good these days yet Rangers are still miles behind. It feels like there's a big disconnect between the squad and the fans. They don't have an Alfredo Morelos type that the fans can look to. It looks like a squad that isn't distinctly "Rangers" if that makes sense.

I do think it's a poisoned chalice though. I wouldn't expect Muscat to go in and drastically improve them to the standard they should be at and I think that in a couple of months time it will be a case of "why did we think this would work?"

I’m sure they’ll do an Aberdeen last season but when could Hearts start getting excited?

Underlying stats suggested Aberdeen's start last season probably wasn't sustainable (though I don't think anyone predicted the drop-off they had), I don't think that's the case with Hearts.

Celtic fans raging lol wish we had the balls to be that vocally against the board though. Poor Brendan dragging another club into the dirt, and in a one team league too 😂

Superb defensive 2nd half from Dundee.

I see what you did there.

All part of the plan. Let Hearts get a good lead, the board will spend in January after the pressure, Celtic win it and Rodgers hails the character and belief.

Hearts have a real chance this season, they have a depth in squad and they don't rely on 1 or 2 crucial players.

Rodgers has to take a chunk of the blame for the Celtic performances.

I'm tired of the "recruitment" excuse.

Yeah, it came too late for the champions league qualifiers, but come on, the level of investment he's had means there should be no excuses in the league.

As for the fans......   do your stupid protests at Parkhead.
