Equally as true as no Karl Marx statues have been under any threat in this country as of yet, funny that

Doing over his grave (for a second time) is sooooo 2019 bro

An absolutely terrible decision from the Premier League.

Wasn’t the Premier League’s decision - was devised by Troy Deeney and Wes Morgan, then later discussed with the 18 other captains of the league who will have chatted through with their colleagues

There's simply no hiding the fact that Black Lives Matter are a militant Marxist organisation that wants to abolish Capitalism.  It's literally spelled out on their own GoFundMe page:

Let's not forget they also want to defund/abolish the Police (will future games no longer be policed then?).

Politics has absolutely no place in sport, especially when it's this divisive.

If the Premier League had proposed to put "NO TO RACISM" on the back of the shirts then that would be absolutely fine, but instead FORCING players to bear the name of an organisation responsible the desecration of the Cenotaph, Churchill statue and attacks on Police then it sends out a terrible message.

Yes to fighting racism.

No to Black Lives Matter.

I’m going to try to go over this again:

De-central-ised

Different folks will have different views on what it means.

Want to stop the evil anti-capitalists? Join Black Lives Matter and focus on anti-racism that doesn’t include anti-capitalism and police defunding. I’ll be on your side! We can sort a new moderate Leicester chapter whenever you’re up for it

The Premier League explicitly forbids political slogans/statements on shirts (or at least they did).  So this is something they've ultimately signed off.

The buck stops with them on this one.

Yeah can’t argue against that - but I have to question the language of FORCING players as you used because there’s been a democratic process followed by the players themselves.

As I’ve said before, maybe the players are just viewing it at the complete face value rather than anything politically. Supporting colleagues and friends who feel strong about it

Start with the men who are willing to believe that a push for a fairer society is a left wing conspiracy against their interests.

It’s not racist to oppose to socialism though.

Are you assuming that black people are incapable of succeeding in a capitalist society?

Because that would be pretty racist pal.

Take a breath and a step back buddy. You are getting all het up and posting stuff and I’ve gotta be honest - what you are posting is kinda off the mark - you’re labelling stuff and feeling all angry and threatened and what you are saying back in attack and defence is exactly the sort of misinformation that causes divide.

Honestly, just have a proper read of what you are posting and what others are trying to say back to you in a nice way.

Be interesting to know if players have the option to not wear it on the back.

But then again I think we all know what would happen to any player who decided to go against the grain on this one.

That page is the official page of the UK wing of BLM.  This is what they stand for.  Sure not everyone in the organisation will agree with all of it but it's there in black and white.

Of course they are doing nothing wrong in championing any of this, people can believe and campaign for whatever they want.  But what IS wrong is the Premier League allowing themselves to be dragged in to it.

As I said, if they went with a simple anti-racism slogan then that's fine, I'd support it 100%, but I will never get behind an organisation like BLM.

Angry?  Eh?  :S

What am I posting that's off the mark?  Highlighting what the BLM (UK) say they stand for?  For saying the fight against racism is crucial and is something I wholeheartedly support?

It’s a decentralised movement, there’s nothing ‘official’. What are you struggling with here? Anyone can start up their own chapter under anti-racism with their own goals.

What has socialism got to do with it?  Who convinced you there's a socialist plot to remove your rights by extending the same privileges you currently enjoy to all races?

Do you ever use the nhs?

Actually agree, now, that political matters have spilt over this forum over the last few weeks.

Weren't certain players booked for displaying a message, namely Maddison. But you can put a politically extreme party on the shirt. Premier League are jumping on the bandwagon.

Near where I live BLM smashed up an Indian restaurant, nice people.

Maybe they called themselves BLM but they sure weren't acting on behalf of the people fighting to highlight inequality. You can help eradicate their influence by joining @Finnaldo's blm chapter to champion the cause

Magnanimous to a fault

Floyd isn't exactly MLK or S Wonder is he. If you want to his herald his life it's up to you. I think he's a drug taking thug who robbed people with a gun. But he didn't deserve to die nonetheless.

I'm not familiar with this chapter, is it anything like the Windsor Chapter my mates are in?

If so I don't think my views would be appreciated.

Evidence please. And let's make it better than Fox News or some such...
