But people on here still think there’s no issue with racism in the game?

Utterly deluded if anyone thinks this.

Had hoped for better at Daggers.

Should have been up a couple early, but just missed some chances.

Looked like a pen for us at the start of the 2nd half.

Still feels like a different team every time we hit the pitch. Of course, with Covid, that's sorta true.

Take the point.

Really frustrating to not get the results we need vs the teams we should.

Shall I move this to the main forum?

Nuneaton Boro played there first match since lockdown part 2 in which they beat Marlow 4-1 in the Fa Trophy. Strange though clubs in step 3 and under of non league still aren't able to play league games yet but can still play in the Fa Trophy.

There's nothing to stop the clubs playing.

It's that the clubs don't want to play without fans - as it's simply not feasible to make it pay. Trophy/Vase - there is still the prize money for winning or losing to pay for it.

A hour later, it's revealed that non elite clubs can have crowds in Tier 3!

Did it say when this will be starting?

Immediately but it’s up to the leagues when to recommence. A lot of teams want a friendly before the serious stuff. Crowds look like they will be 300 at Coalville

Boston have to replay their game at Darlington which was abandoned in the 90th minute when winning 2-0 due to player injury. No idea how they came to that decision.

Couldn't get that 2nd goal, but at least it didn't sound like panic stations.

Good win over a good team.

Both County and Forest were at home for the first time in over 30 years too.

Up to third with that win though (albeit the others have a game in hand)!

Didn't occur to me we were both at home. Guess these days, it dont matter much.

The southern league has decided not to restart until at least 9th January. So no games for Coalville over Christmas.

The leagues need to have a vote from the clubs to decide what happens. They have been told they can have fans but some clubs still don’t want to play.

As it stands the season has no chance of getting finished as the clubs who are struggling will just say they don’t want to play. The situation needs strong leadership from leagues, sadly I don’t think there capable of it.

Isn't the issue the restrictions on attendances plus not being able to open bars and clubhouses?

It just won't be cost effective to play.

Yes, simply won't make the money to pay their expenses. The maximum crowd at Step 3 (in Tier 3) is 300 - largely which would be season ticket holders who've spent their money. Add to that no takings from beer etc, clubs are totally marooned.

Step 3 contains clubs which regularly get 800+ crowds - they are stuck in a half-way house. Step 4 contains a lot of clubs reliant on additional money from bars. Step 5/6 can just about get away with it - plus they have obtainable money in the form of FA Vase run (Step 3/4 playing in Trophy are likely to lose against Conference clubs).

I have said elsewhere they should look at reducing the number of fixtures and splitting the leagues like the Spanish Third Division have done - then look to extend the season right into June.

That’s what some clubs are saying now. Originally it was paused because no fans were allowed to attend in tier 3 areas, that has now been addressed but now clubs are saying they want to be able to open the bars etc.
That obviously isn’t going to happen with the current tier restrictions in place, that’s why a vote is needed to see where the clubs stand. Continually delaying the season will mean it doesn’t get finished anyway.
