Unless you count Joel Pereira who is on loan at huddersfield from Man Utd in which case you could probably get a team together to rival the mendys and silvas.

Same with the common surnames in the other European countries (E.g. Silva). is Mendy a super common surname in Africa? I have no idea.

Smith makes up just over 1% of the UK population where Silva makes up nearly 10% of Portugal and pereira only slightly less. That probably explains a lot. I have no idea on mendy though.
