Baileys is shite, overpriced, and has a nasty bitter aftertaste.

White Russians are a miles better version of the drink. Especially if you use single or double cream instead of milk.

Baileys has dairy cream and other milk products in it. And you also eat cheese too...

Hard to see how you could have a genuine lactose intolerance and consume both of those.

Would imagine he's got a vague idea of what his body can tolerate.

Nights are drawing out.

Actually the sun has been setting earlier since 11 December but it won't rise early until the end of the month.

But you're right, overall the daylight hours are now getting longer.

Noticed it more this year for some reason but it is quite grim seeing parents post on social media about all the presents they’ve bought their kids for Christmas

Most parents I know (including my own) are incredibly materialistic beings. Everything is a competition to them.

Levels. It isn’t a polar switch thing.

Hard nature cheeses are very low on lactose. Baileys is consumed in small quantities - and absolutely doesn’t make me shit myself. Cream on a pudding, my arse becomes a muck spreader. Hope that helps.

People hovering over your shoulder in supermarkets, in your personal space when you are looking at something in particular. They are too impatient to wait and linger. I’ve started taking longer now, just to be more irritating.

Tw@ts that stand in the supermarket aisle staring vacantly at the shelves whilst their tiny mind tries to work out 'what for tea..what for tea..?' and holding up us forthright and knowing peoples who just want to grab a pint of milk and be on our way.

I'm pissed off that the option of travelling to Pripryat/Chernobyl is most likely gone for good.

I'm not a live laugh love type but having gone to Chernobyl a few months before covid lockdown and then Moscow for the city match a few months before the war started, does make we think maybe some of these LinkedIn memes about seizing the day are true. Both trips organised within 3 weeks of departure iirc and wasn't bothered about going at the time, just an excuse for an easy European trip during a dull time of the year.

Yeah I was looking at it before COVID and never pulled the trigger. Now it looks to be gone for good.

Gyms being busier is never fun at this time of the year, and I really dont enjoy it.

but it's also great seeing so many people trying to improve their fitness etc

Yep and also these people subsidise our memberships for the rest of the year. So come on down New Year’s resolution-ers

Is Quora the original rage baiter? I swear about 90% of the questions posted are just to stir the pot, people can't be stupid or naive enough to post the loaded questions they are asking.

I receive random emails from them and alot of their content seems to me as though it is AI generated. Exacerbated by a large number of American subscribers,  I don't find it too surprising.

Leicester has a larger population than New Orleans, Cleveland, Orlando and Pittsburgh (not combined)

I always assumed all fairly well known cities in the US would dwarf our more known cities, let alone Leicester.
