Mentioned before I am migraine sufferer - survived one a couple of weeks ago but seen then I have been struggling with headaches, I have been trying to avoid taking tablets to avoid a reliance on them but the last couple of days I have felt an exhuastion I have never had before. It's getting a bit frustrating as I have tried really hard to practice a good sleeping pattern etc and good diet recently but it's not getting any better - this morning I'd got a heavy headache. People are telling me just to be patient but its' getting to the point it's going to affect my running, work and social life.

I suffered from migraines from my teenage years onwards.  I would get one or two per week, a lot of the time at weekends.  I took painkillers to cope as I couldn't find a way of stopping the problem - I believed the line that they were caused by a misfunctioning central nervous system.

My GP sent me to a Chiropractor for a completely unrelated pain problem many years later.  The treatment took months and during that time I noted that my migraines were decreasing in number and severity, eventually they disappeared completely.  I have continued chiropractic treatment since then and have been migraine free for decades.

I don't know if this would work for you as the causes of our migraines may be different but wanted to let you know my experience.

Okay not sure where to put this or if anyone can help. I have just got home to find a yodel card saying they tried to deliver a parcel but I wasn't in and they left it in my safe spot(even i don't know where that is) anywho looked behind bins and in bins as for some reason other deliver companies have done that in that past. Soooooo here the best part! I didn't order anything, I asked friends family etc even asked my wife if she ordered anything and even asked her to ask friends family etc if they ordered anything for her. All have said no(even explained the confusion to them) no reference number other than I.D number on the card. Is it a scam? Any would yodel help if I rang em without a reference number? I would have rang today but the are shut now. So any yodel drivers around or anywho had been in a similar situation

I suspect the card has been left in your door by mistake.

Happened to me a few years ago. Got a few random bits I didn’t order, as did others on the street. Someone said it was a scam whereby sellers send items to random addresses so they can put positive reviews onto the product page themselves. I sold all the junk and didn’t think about it after that

When football crowds clap during the match for someone who died, they are actually clapping in the minute of the age they didn't quite reach. For example, if they clap for someone who died at 20, they start doing it in the 21st minute of the match.

I find it such a bad taste gesture anyway, particularly for people who died young. It feels almost sarcastic. I've never joined in with one.

Ahh get you. Well I spoke to yodel most unless customer service wouldn't even answer any questions unless I had a trackering number. So yeah just put the card in the recycling and thought to myself didn't order anything and haven't received anything so it's all good :)

I need a 'procedure' carried out in hospital.

Just got back from a pre admission appt' and the staff were all fantastic. Absolutely first rate.

I was curious about one thing though. The nurse said I was lucky to have the surgeon I have and lucky where the op was going to be carried out.

It does beg the question though. If I wasn't 'lucky', would they have said, 'Bad luck Mr. FFF, you have a rather poor surgeon and you'll be seen in a rather poor hospital. Good luck - you'll need it.'

They're just trying to put your mind at rest and let you know you're in good hands.

And the location might be a UK center of excellence for the particular procedure you're having done which always gives me added peace of mind.

Best of luck with it.

The Adolescence programme highlights a concern regarding young males etc. I think the greater concern is the breakdown in lack of respect and empathy across society. Some people even find saying please and thank you as a sign of weakness.

I am a bit of an old reactionary in a young(ish) body. But I think over the last couple of decades in Britain a lot of quite scummy and uncivilised behaviour has become normalised, and at the same time what I would very clumsily describe as more 'traditional' beliefs, roles and behaviours have been denigrated. Society has become nastier and messier as a result. I think it's also linked to the spread of American popular culture and the rise of tech, as well as the economic system we live in.

The issues raised by Adolescence are obviously a bit more complex because it involves stuff like social media influencers which I know little about. But I think it is linked to the slow erosion of the belief in traditional gender roles. I totally agree with people saying we need to show males positive role models. We need to show them that masculinity isn't just competition and conflict, but can be about things like cooperation, leadership, providing for families, contributing to society. I just don't know how possible that is in modern Britain.

That's just my opinion and I'm sure a lot of people will disagree with me.

Very well put as far as I'm concerned

I know it is very déclassé for an urban bourgeois like me to complain about 'woke' stuff but young men in Britain are frequently told that they are inherently privileged and that their role in society is problematic and in need of dismantling. Maybe just watching a netflix series in schools isn't going to be enough?

The problem is that what starts out with legitimate concerns like this is appearing to end with figures in very high places saying - and working towards - the viewpoint that women should be considered homebound chattel of men without consent, as they have been in a great many "traditional" cultures and which many people have fought and died to overcome.

That's not hyperbole either - the slippery slope is real, and provable.

Talking about subverting traditional gender roles, I forgot to wash the spinach before cooking and only realised after eating. Am I going to die?

Men are from Mars .......

She just came home and said "how come you haven't shut the curtains ?"

Apparently "Because I haven't shut them" is not the right answer

Try supplementing a heavy magnesium dose before bed

magnesium is insane. Very light sleeper, never slept more than an hour or so at a time over 5-6 hours a night. Tried magnesium spray and now regularly sleep for 5 hours undisturbed. Been doing this since late November so a long enough period to be statistically significant.
