Was just reading about Oscar Pistorious' conviction.

Quite interesting as I always thought it was a did he / didn't he conviction. And I felt it was harsh. It's totally in the air whether he actually meant to kill his Mrs

Under south African law, he's been convicted effectively of knowingly killing someone .... meaning under law, the fact whether it was his Mrs he intended to kill is irrelevant. He's basically got a halfway house of self defence killing and cold blooded murder. But definitely NOT a conviction in the UK sense of the premeditated murder of Steenkamp herself.

I thought it was interesting anyway ....

Roses are red

Violets are glorious

Never surprise

Oscar Pistorious

What's all the fuss about a "buttlift crackdown"?

Surely, if your "butt" (Eng. bum) is lifted, then it is logically inevitable that your crack moves down a bit? :dunno:

He fired four times through a toilet door indiscriminately, without even checking where his girlfriend was. He served eight and half years after initially only getting five years. I think he got off lightly and that was mainly because of who he was.

The sheer vine volume of jimmies rustled on any social media account posting about the start of Ramadan. So many comments saying 'what about Lent?!'.

Dullards.

I genuinely saw one that said “what about pancake day?”

Lent is very important of course, but I think the British struggle with the concept of consuming less and giving something up. Can't do without the slop for a few weeks!

I always thought Lent was a Catholic thing. I saw it as something the Irish did when I was a kid but not the English, Scots or Welsh.

England is a catholic country with a bad memory

Off Belgrade tomorrow and I don't think I ever seen such a bonkers weather forecast.

Arrive in 14 degrees, blue skies and sunshine. Saturday is snow and back up to highs of 16 on Monday!

Is it wrong, when seeing balaclava wearing goons on e-bikes pulling wheelies on public roads, to wish that they fall off and smash their heads on the tarmac?

Well, it is really.

The impact of their thick skulls might cause another pot hole.

I read that as Belgrave at first and wondered... WHY?

Better still if two of them (or two food delivery blokes) crashed into each other

The memory of Henry VIII must have been really piss poor. :D

And his wives, though given, two of them didn't have heads.
