Sorry if it was me, but it was getting way over my head....

 

Think i'll avoid Ft for awhile unless i know 100% i can post something which wont offend anyone!:thumbup:

Starting to feel like mandatory therapy should be a thing. The amount of head losses I've seen from fairly normal and jovial users that have decided to leave because they've got wound up in gen chat is insane.

 

It's all opinions and you have absolutely no control over things you're talking about.

 

Get annoyed about proper things like Brendan Rodgers chapped lips and Nathan Jones loving playing up the camera :D

Not sure if the world has changed, or just the way things are reported through social (and other) media, or both or other, but there certainty seems to be so much more stress and stressors around now compared to even a decade ago. 

 

That being said, what I've read about the way things are changing in terms of environment frankly terrifies me and should anyone else outside those totally detached.

I was actually going to tag you in my post as an example of someone who consistently is able to challenge and discuss matters that mean a lot to you, without losing your head or resorting to petty comments. I don't know how you do it, but it's impressive mate :D 

 

Social media has amplified everything, people stuck in their echo chambers and see people as enemies that they don't respect if they're not in the same echo chamber. I love social media for dog videos, football updates and good news. Unfortunately the majority seems to be divisive and argumentative. Funnily enough, stick the same people in a pub together for a few pints and they'll probably get on just fine.

 

Personally I try and avoid any news or discussion of it. Not because I want to be ignorant, but it's just too stressful and depressing. I just try to be a decent person and keep a smile on my face and others if I can. Unless I've had a few beers then I can turn into a sassy queen to be fair lol

What’s the rationale anyone know with just locking threads and deleting posts? I’ve seen a few threads locked when it was just civil calm discussion and had posts deleted that were pretty dull and plain.

There’s definitely a word filter in play around certain political topics. I’ve had innocuous posts deleted because I used certain words - some even got “pre-moderated” with red text saying “we are waiting for a moderator to approve or deny this post’ before inevitably being deleted.
