Anyone on here got one? Are they worth it? Looking at the ones around the £200 mark. Can't decide if they are genuinely going to make life easier or just be another gimmicky gadget that ends up sitting in the cupboard collecting dust...

Got a Roborock S5 Max on Black Friday. Very very happy with it so far. I've got a fair few smart home gadgets, and it's by far the most useful of them all tbqh. You plug it in, press go, and it goes and laser maps the floor it's on before returning to it's base.

It can save 3 maps, which is great if you don't live in a bungalow, and it also has a mop attachment, which whilst not as effective as propper mopping, does a nice job of keeping the floors clean enough.

Very good customisation options too (ability to set no go/no mop zones, do zone/individual room cleaning, set schedules etc etc).

It does struggle a bit with very thick pile rugs/carpets though.

In other news, I bought a Shark hoover yesterday (don’t make a joke about hoovering sharks please) and what a beauty.

I bet it gives the carpet a nice (fin)ish.

I bought a Rhumba this year & have been extremely happy with it. I have hardwood floors which tend to show the dust when the sun shines through the window. My floors have never looked better, well worth the money.

How do these robot vacs get into the crevices and corners of a room, though? You'd surely still have to move furniture about in order to get a full clean. Unless you are so lazy you really CBA about proper cleaning.

Slightly off topic because it’s not a robot (things you didn’t expect to type this year). But I bought a gtech airram today, comes tomorrow and I’m buzzing to try it.

The fact that people buy them suggests that people are.

You see, I see this and think, sod it, I'll do it myself.

Each to their own. It's easier than maybe I make it sound.

I wouldn't be without one now.

A gtech airram sounds like something you put up your wife.

Chance would be a fine thing mate
