The 1971 Div 2 Champions were the team that got me hooked for life. Remember Bobby Kellard scoring directly from a corner in front of the pre-pen Kop. Him and Willie Carling were my first City heroes. Rip Bobby.

Great player in what was a very good 2nd division team.

 

His midfield partnership with Willie Carlin (2 pocket battleships) was one of the main reasons we won the league in 71

RIP Bobby Kellard. I will always have great memories of the 70/71 promotion season.

Bobby Kellard, one of my favourite City players, a real midfield dynamo who took no prisoners. 

RIP Bobby I & many more City supporters will never forget you.

Yes - absolutely,  the new era of players at the club after the end of the 60s - . I thought he was a fantastic signing at the time

Hard as Nails - made all the difference to that team. Wouldnt have got promotion without him. RIP - one of my favourite players ever.

I was out with a mate one night probably Baileys and I pointed out a pretty  young lady - He said 'shes got legs like Bobby Kellard '

Still remember Frank O'Farrell describing Leicester's game plan as 'Kellard gets it, Carlin gives it'. Simples. RIP Bobby.

Always had that ambition to score direct from a corner bit like a hole in one at golf hit the post once but too late now!
