Two sides so well balanced against each other ultimately.

My only hot take is that Gill really needs to learn captaincy quickly and England desperately need to get some depth for the winter.

Fair play to Bethell and Overton for helping us run this game so close

Crawley's crisp packet hands as well!

Fair play to India but we lost that game. From dropping 6 catches to complete capitulation.

The dropped catches yes. I'm not having it that we capitulated the chase.

On the one hand, feels very much like a missed opportunity. Still no series win in England against India or Oz for ten years now.

On the other, fantastic entertainment the whole way.

Bethell was the ridiculous shot yesterday for me. All he had to do was play along with Root.

England have had good periods but generally been that little bit behind in all aspects of the game.

A drawn series is fair I think. It may not bring winning cricket but this era certainly brings entertaining cricket.

It was a big couple of days for 'Bazball'. Proper killer blow right before the Ashes. A lot to think about now.

The 6 dropped catches did it really- should have been chasing 200, tops.

I'm not going to complain about the wickets lost in the chase. Attacking/the scoring rate is what got us in a position where we were favourites, sometimes we'll die by the sword.

There were at least a couple of pathetic dismissals that in the end proved costly.

4-1 vs India in 2018 no?

Did you watch it? We got ourselves into a fantastic position, but almost all the wickets came from poor batting rather than great bowling. We then allowed them to build the pressure and paid the price.

Bazball vs Aus.

That'll be some contest if England connect. If they don't, it'll be lots of low scores...

We're chasing 373 ffs. I know it looked like we bottled it - but the pressure. The ****ing pressure. It was outstanding cricket to even get close.
