On Sky. Merge if there's another thread but it's been moved to then, only 12 days away.

It's in the  PL thread.

So we have to play Villa, Slavia, Arsenal and Burnley within the span on 10 days. This season is brutal.

I sadly think it's going to catch up with us eventually. I can see there being a drop off, which has arguably already started as I don't think we've actually played all that well lately, even if the results have been acceptable.

Oh and to add to the previous point - if we do beat Slavia, that means it'll be Villa, Slavia, Arsenal, Burnley, Brighton, Europa league, Sheffield United, Europa league, Man Utd, 9 games in the space of 28 days.

It's brutal. The hardest you can possibly have.

I don't think we'll be the only team struggling to cope luckily. Especially Spurs and Man Utd should have similar schedules and Man Utd in particular are due a few injuries. I think the likes of West Ham, Villa, Everton and less so the Champions League teams might benefit quite a lot this season.

We'd probably be better off going out to Slavia tbh. Normally I'd be all over the europa league but without being able to go, just focus on getting in the CL. We're a Barnes or Tielemans injury away from being absolutely f ucked and they've played so much already.

You are right but I think this is where the bigger clubs' depth is going to help them a bit over us. Put it this way, I'm totally braced for us finishing 5th again.

Justin was about the worst player we could've had pick up a bad injury. He's plugged the gap so many times (and performed that well that he's become first choice), Ricardo and Castagne don't seem to be fully fit, certainly not to cover loads of games in this schedule.

The plus side of the run is that our March league games should yield some points. It's a favourable run.

I sadly agree. I hate myself for even saying it, but this is the one year I think I can understand it. Would have a different attitude I think if fans could go.

I hate myself for agreeing with you but sadly I do.

It's not a major issue if we go out IMO, because we'll have European football again next season regardless, just need maybe 6 more wins with a draw or two.

I often wonder why can't they just stop training in between when there is a lot of games in short time, wouldn't that increase the recovery time?

They don't do they? They only do light training. That's why we haven't been practising corners for the past 3 months:whistle:

Surely they could find space later in the season for the Burnley game? It was the FA cup weekend wasn't it?

Just no consideration at all.

I doubt they do much physical training, it'll be related to recovering and tactics/formation for the next game. Just bit of loosening up and hopefully a few laughs thrown in.

They really should get rid of internationals temporarily to help with scheduling. Either schedule league games in that time to spread them out or just give every team two weeks off. If FIFA and UEFA etc insist internationals have to happen because of their own scheduling issues then why not ban teams from picking players from leagues that are still running. Have the fixtures fulfilled by non-league players from all nations.

This is why Man U and Spurs did so well winning comfortably last night. It means they can play reserves in their EL games next week. Meanwhile, we will be flogging our first team yet again.

I know we have some international players going away at the end of March, but these nine games could make or break us.

im hoping we can get through them as comfortable as possible, with no more injuries, and the players physically coping.

as with the non international players staying at home, it will be a good time to recuperate

Yeah I find that bizarre. The likelyhood would be there will be a free midweek further into the season when we are probably knocked out of Europe
