ClaphamFox Posted 27 January 2022 Posted 27 January 2022 Waiting for the Sue Grey report feels like a child waiting for Christmas. "Has she been yet?" etc... 2

She since deleted it Nadine Dorries is the outstanding example of blind loyalty being rewarded above talent in this cabinet. People have pointed out Priti Patel fudging her numbers on occasion but everything Dorries says is somehow complete shite or utterly moronic, it’s like every caricature of Dianne Abbott on overdrive. StanSP Posted 28 January 2022 Posted 28 January 2022 Met have asked for Sue Gray's report to contain 'minimal reference' to the parties...
Buce Posted 28 January 2022 Author Posted 28 January 2022 (edited) This is starting to smell like a whitewash: https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2022/jan/28/met-asked-for-minimal-reference-to-probe-of-no-10-events-in-sue-gray-report Gray's report not to mention matters being 'investigated' by the Met, an investigation that will probably take months; and I think we all know what that will conclude. Zear0 Posted 28 January 2022 Posted 28 January 2022 So release the report detailing evidence of wrongdoing but without the parts where wrongdoing was taking place. No wonder he's so keen for it to be released in full. 1

Yes looking like a right carve up. What happened to not only should justice be done but it should be seen to be done. 1

To me it sounds like there are grounds for an investigation into possible offences of Misconduct in a Public Office or other serious offences. Releasing the details prior to a trial would prejudice any trial that was to take place. 1

That's the point at which Contempt of Court comes into play. The Met's claims are absolute nonsense. It's like the police telling the press not to report on a murder while they're still looking for the murderer. 1
Foxdiamond Posted 28 January 2022 Posted 28 January 2022 Is this corruption or incompetent by the Met ?
Benji Posted 28 January 2022 Posted 28 January 2022 Haha at this point it’s just funny. Whitewash incoming.

GingerrrFox Posted 28 January 2022 Posted 28 January 2022 I take it that Boris might be under more heat than he previously thought with that statement from the Met. I’d bet that they are looking at a more serious charge like misconduct in a Public Office because of the Sue Gray report forcing their hand.
