Sankey93 Posted 20 September 2022 Posted 20 September 2022 He will be in charge for forest they can’t afford to sack him.

You’ve compared results over 3 years to results over 18 months and left out all of the good results - yea those 11 games you’ve hand picked were bad although I’d argue only Forest, Bournemouth and the two games this season were truely horrendous- results like losing to Norwich and Fulham happen every season the teams at the bottom win games against the top clubs, and this is what makes the PL so great. You can’t look at those 11 games and not talk about beating Southampton 0-9, Man City away 3-5, beating all of the top six in the same season. - only club to have done this in the PL era. This season is shaping up to be bad, but to compare Rodgers to Taylor is ridiculous. Agree. Rodgers destroyed the squad. Rodgers hasn’t done that. However back to the original post, when we lost to Wycombe in the FA Cup, we still had a relatively good team on the day. It was just a freak result, that knocked the confidence out of the team and started a downward spiral. That result happened on the 10th March 2001. We were coming off the back of beating Liverpool 2-0 at home. At that point, we’d lost 9 games. Which was pretty impressive for us. We’d only been smashed once in the 6-1 at a very, very good Arsenal team. We were still in the top 3 half way through the season and he was being heralded as a great Coach, even getting the England job on a temporary basis. We were 6th in the league when we played Wycombe. Between March and the end of the season, we collapsed, losing 9 of the 10 remaining games. We just fell apart and finished 13th. Two of those defeats were against Manchester City and Bradford, both whom got relegated. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/leicester-city/spielplan/verein/1003/saison_id/2000 He was never getting sacked after Wycombe, however he should have gone at the end of the season. It was just a major slide in form which was never addressed. https://www.transfermarkt.com/leicester-city/spielplandatum/verein/1003/plus/0?saison_id=2000&wettbewerb_id=GB1&day=&heim_gast=&punkte=&datum_von=-&datum_bis=- By the last game of the season, we weren’t playing Elliott, Walsh, Taggart, Sinclair, Guppy, Lennon, Collymore as they’d ever been sold or frozen out. It draws parallels with what we are seeing now really. 3
Leicester_Loyal Posted 20 September 2022 Posted 20 September 2022 If he’s still here by the end of today then I really don’t know what more can be said. It’ll be time for protests, Forest being the first one, toxic city baby. 1
Collymore Posted 20 September 2022 Posted 20 September 2022 Today's the day people. I expect to check my phone at lunch to have numerous texts from people telling me he's sacked and asking "who do you want?" I'll put it below now so I can easily copy and paste it later... Nigel F******G Pearson and also the response when they reply "really?" F***k off and die! 1

ARTY_FOX Posted 20 September 2022 Posted 20 September 2022 Talksport still defending him talking about how great he is and claiming he's saying the right things. Give me strength. 1

Popular Post Daggers Posted 20 September 2022 Popular Post Posted 20 September 2022 At what point today will no announcement provoke a visceral reaction in you? I’m planning on shouting at the dogs at 9:01. 5
Scotch Posted 20 September 2022 Posted 20 September 2022 I've lost all expectations of us sacking him. Completely deflated and disillusioned with everything around the club just now. 3

However, if not heard by 9.15 I’m trashing my house. 2

Maybe I’ll set fire to one and use a trebuchet to launch it in the direction of the ground. 1 1
ozleicester Posted 20 September 2022 Posted 20 September 2022 Its nearly 3pm... why hasnt he been sacked?

SemperEadem Posted 20 September 2022 Posted 20 September 2022 If it was today I feel we would already know. Its not going to happen.

Guest Chocolate Teapot Posted 20 September 2022 Posted 20 September 2022 For what its worth i dont think he'll be here for forest. Slightly more complex than a standard sacking in this case.
Popular Post RumbleFox Posted 20 September 2022 Popular Post Posted 20 September 2022 Had a dream last night that I was named manager. I told the team to get back to basics and hired a psychologist. I got my brother in as assistant. He basically floated around chatting with the players. I named Maddison captain and he was a lovely wee lad. I didn’t do any press or interviews because I was above that. It made me mysterious and interesting. We beat Forest 4-0. Each goal was something I’d specifically focussed on in training. Despite my lack of experience in any level of the game I was hailed as a tactical genius and the fans adored me. I was more handsome on my dream too, better hair and bigger muscles. I woke up dribbling. I’m now sitting in my pants watching Peter Rabbit on Cebeebies typing this. Makes you think. 8
FoxyJim1987 Posted 20 September 2022 Posted 20 September 2022 (edited) Want to see sky sports news showing the munchkin getting pushed out the door and his little pad thrown onto the car park floor. He then checks his reflection out in the glass of the main stand, readjusts his suit, collects his little pencil and pad, flashes his teeth and fvcks off back where he came from.
