This season is shaping up to be bad, but to compare Rodgers to Taylor is ridiculous.

Agree. Rodgers destroyed the squad. Rodgers hasn’t done that. 
 

However back to the original post, when we lost to Wycombe in the FA Cup, we still had a relatively good team on the day. It was just a freak result, that knocked the confidence out of the team and started a downward spiral. That result happened on the 10th March 2001. We were coming off the back of beating Liverpool 2-0 at home. 
 

At that point, we’d lost 9 games. Which was pretty impressive for us. We’d only been smashed once in the 6-1 at a very, very good Arsenal team. We were still in the top 3 half way through the season and he was being heralded as a great Coach, even getting the England job on a temporary basis. We were 6th in the league when we played Wycombe. 
 

Between March and the end of the season, we collapsed, losing 9 of the 10 remaining games. We just fell apart and finished 13th. Two of those defeats were against Manchester City and Bradford, both whom got relegated.

He was never getting sacked after Wycombe, however he should have gone at the end of the season. It was just a major slide in form which was never addressed.

By the last game of the season, we weren’t playing Elliott, Walsh, Taggart, Sinclair, Guppy, Lennon, Collymore as they’d ever been sold or frozen out. 
 

It draws parallels with what we are seeing now really.

Mostly to hear other teams fans calling in with pure venom that they've slagged them off. Turn it off when it comes to leicester usually though.

I've lost all expectations of us sacking him. Completely deflated and disillusioned with everything around the club just now.

I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt that when they get to the office they will need a pi*s, a coffee and a little natter about the funeral. However, if not heard by 9.15 I’m trashing my house.

Hmm, now I’m questioning my decision just to shout at the dogs. Maybe I’ll set fire to one and use a trebuchet to launch it in the direction of the ground.

For what its worth i dont think he'll be here for forest. Slightly more complex than a standard sacking in this case.

Had a dream last night that I was named manager. I told the team to get back to basics and hired a psychologist. I got my brother in as assistant. He basically floated around chatting with the players. I named Maddison captain and he was a lovely wee lad. I didn’t do any press or interviews because I was above that. It made me mysterious and interesting. We beat Forest 4-0. Each goal was something I’d specifically focussed on in training. Despite my lack of experience in any level of the game I was hailed as a tactical genius and the fans adored me. I was more handsome on my dream too, better hair and bigger muscles. I woke up dribbling. I’m now sitting in my pants watching Peter Rabbit on Cebeebies typing this.

Want to see sky sports news showing the munchkin getting pushed out the door and his little pad thrown onto the car park floor. He then checks his reflection out in the glass of the main stand, readjusts his suit, collects his little pencil and pad, flashes his teeth and fvcks off back where he came from.
