I slowly and cautiously make my way through the rubble of what used to be the city of Leicester. Down the old Raw Dykes Road I amble with my rusted shopping trolley, rooting through the smouldering ashes for remnants of cardboard clappers to exchange for rat meat. It's cold.

 

Suddenly, a lone wanderer emerges, his long hair matted with soot, his sunken eyes peer at me through an ancient LCFC / VfL Bochum half-and-half scarf which he's wrapped around his face in a vain attempt to filter the toxic air.

 

I look down. He's handing me something. It's a piece of what looks like old folded paper.

 

My hands shake as I try to unfurl the fragile note. I look up. He's gone. 

 

I look back down as the scrawled words slowly come into focus...
