Very poor decision. Silly position to have your arm on the box but just don't see how that warrants a pen. Indirect free kick would be better.

Just bin var off they will never get any body to be in charge of it properly so get rid and let the on field decision stand like before

Oh, so when it's Tottenham, VAR can have a good long look and give a handball, but when its Son handling in the box against us its a  second "checked and nothing given" (honest, we definitely looked, take our word for it even though it's been about 2 seconds and when we do make a decision it seems to take us 5 minutes every time)

What has the game come to when that is a penalty? I despair. The punishment doesn’t fit the ‘crime’. No justice whatsoever. Not sure any Spurs players even appealed.

‘unnatural position’ is such a nebulous concept. An unnatural position is surely when a defender puts his arms by his sides to avoid the ball accidentally hitting them when outstretched.

Cruel to see all that effort quashed by a nothing incident. Until that point the Spurs fans looked like they were in the dentists waiting room, atmosphere flattened, almost made it to half time, cruel game. The same sport where Dawson bundles a goal in against us with his arm and no official gives a fig.

If big units like Ashley Barnes are expected to jump and challenge in the air without arms out the laws of physics say you’re going to have players falling and landing like keystone cops if their instinct to balance is removed from them. If he knew the ball was going to be scooped to that precise place he’s a better defensive reader of the game than Van Dyke, who’d have known it, Ashley Barnes the second coming of Baresi. He’s just a big lump trying to stay upright.

what about the tottenham player wrestling Barnes

The home fans of a big club weren’t making a racket about it so law 76b subsection 6 says you turn a blind eye

Kane has played twice as many minutes as Vardy this season and scored the same amount of goals from open play.

Unfortunately for Burnley if they try go out attack a bit they will get picked off by Spurs now when they would have been happy to try get a point
