This and a cup final to look forward to.

Magnificent.

Try and enjoy it as stressful as it is. This is some effort and we would have all taken this at the start of the season.

So where are we as a club right now? Include squad, infrastructure, fan base, manager and new stadium extensions etc.

I'd say, as long as we keep reinvesting in players every year with a leaner and meaner squad (we are getting there), that we should be seen by all football related people I.e. teams, pundits etc as a top 6 club. I don't think spurs with their debts and management/recruitment style counts them in anymore. I also doubt arsenal's squad and club management since wenger left.

Top 6 minimum for me.

Yes, but the big question is...which would you rather have;

1 - Back to Back Top 6 Finishes or the FA Cup?

2 - The Top 4 or the FA Cup?

3 - Europa League or the FA Cup?

4 - A round of Golf with James Maddison or the FA Cup?

5 - Another "Which would you prefer, "insert" or the FA Cup?" thread or the FA Cup?

Personally, I would love to win the FA Cup. But that doesn't seem to be an option anywhere...

Win the cup and finish top 4 and Rodgers would be the 2nd GOAT. After Don Ranieri.

Third for me. Cannot forget Nigel Pearson.

Rodgers would go above, Pearson is third behind O’Neill and Ranieri for me...

I think people forget how much of an achievement back to back top 6 finishes would be. Obviously, finishing 5th two years in a row is disappointing considering how much time we've spent in the top 3 but keeping it in perspective, it's very promising seeing us move forward at such a rate.

Just thankful this is all very sustainable. I think Villa were around 5th/6th but couldn’t quite get over the line & consequently stopped ploughing money at it (not sure if that’s 100% accurate) selling young, Barry & Milner etc but Everton on the other hand, occupied 5th/6th with Villa for a while with much less investment.

Understandable. I just think Pearson helped to rebuild the club from top to bottom and we still have a lot to thank him for. Besides, I’m too young to remember the O’Neil days.

Even if we won the cup AND finished top 4 there would still be people on here who would lay all the praise on the players and not recognise any effort from Rodgers

I was a Pearsonite at the time and he (alongside Walsh & Shakey) did a great job in creating a competitive and successful squad (twice). However, I now think the club would've made it anyway given the determination of King Power. Vichai built what we see today.

Pearson took he had Marc Edworthy in his squad. When he left is he had just signed Ngolo Kante. The man is a top 3 Leicester City manager of all time.

None of them are mutually exclusive.

Given a choice I would go for fewer "Would you rather....?" threads

But would you rather have fewer “Would you rather....?” threads or win the FA Cup?

Pearson built the foundations for where we are now, people need to remember that.

Careful with that sort of talk, someone will ask you why you feel the need to bring the matter up...
