Is a double edged sword.

Play them and they do well they are even more in the shop window, don't play them do they get frustrated at the lack of opportunities

Would always risk losing them by playing them because the more you show that they'll get chances here, the more that will stay. Its quite simple.

The reputation builds and you can then start flogging some of the ones who flatter to deceive for decent money like Liverpool are masters at.

I maybe wrong, but many others share the same view and I'm convinced something will be publicly said about it in the coming months but the attitude to conditioning, player recovery and fitness is what's making it very easy for us to pick up injury after injury.

We're vulnerable, can't stand up to the rigours of a verynohysical game and easy to hide behind freak injuries.

If you keep your house in bad condition and then a storm rips through and takes the roof off and causes damp, could it have been forseen? Could you have planned better for it and ensured your house was protected as much as possible? If your house gets taken apart every time there's a storm then st some point you have to ask what on earth aren't you doing to prevent this destruction before you move (move on from Todgers)

You have to factor in two strange seasons due to C19 and two season of play more game due to EL, FA Cup etc.

We are not the only team to have issues, injury rates have been up across the whole league.

https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/premier-league-injuries-up-by-10-as-player-welfare-concerns-increase-9lv8ntqsr

Player welfare has been placed under the spotlight again after it was revealed that the number of injuries in the Premier League has increased by more than 10 per cent this season.

New figures show that there were 344 injuries to players between the start of the campaign and the end of the year. That is up 10.6 per cent on the previous five-year average of 311 injuries, although last season started late because of the repercussions of the initial Covid-19 outbreak in March 2020.

I don't dispute its having an impact but up 10% is nothing compared to ours, ours must be up about 500%

Baffled at putting Ewing on the bench over Braybrooke last night. Especially considering Braybrooke trained all week too. Even more baffled at not giving him his debut at 4-1 up when Maddison went off.

Could last night purely be saving braybrooke for the youth cup they are going all out to win? No need to risk him for a 10 min cameo ahead of that?

For a lad who is being very strongly courted by Bundesliga clubs and still hasn't signed the long term deal we want him to, you'd think there'd be a bit of a common goal to get that across the line.

Do we know for sure that he hasn't signed a long term deal? I know of lads in the same age group who have signed long term deals (one almost a year ago) but there's been no publicity.

Don't know for sure, other than the athletic did an article on him a few months ago that said he was set to sign a long term deal after turning down strong interest from Germany. He can't sign the longer term deal until he's 18 anyway.

A long term deal can be signed aged 17.

Only for 3 years which he's already done I think. As soon as he's 18, likely to be a 5 year deal.

It's like cheating having him in the side!

...the last time I saw him play he did not look anything special, he was being played out of position I  believe!!!

It is as if he has it written in his contract, that he must score every single game, even if the opposing keeper throws the ball into his own net and Popov is on the bench, the goal must be chalked up to Popov.

He really is having a great season.
