Any idea on formation? Not braybrooke in a back 3 surely?

Unless we are going for some weird back 3 with Braybrooke as the shortest Libero ever lol

Leshabela has played as a fullback for us before so maybe he is covering at LB?

Young

Wormleighton, Nelson, Brunt, Leshabela

WMM, Braybrooke, Ewing

Maswanhise, Thanawat, Alves

Looks like Wormleighton RB and Leshabela LB, absolutely wild.

I know I can't help myself but given this year of unprescented success from the U18's, is it not a bit frustrating not to see the best performing ones rewarded with some minutes in the U23's? We've seen what recognition up the levels does to these players, otherwise Where's the incentive?

You just know it will be, with the towering Alves and Maswanise up top. Just playing all our ball players

Do we have any DM's in the u18's? Never like watching us play without a ball winning DM.

Or maybe a CB we could promote and move Brunt to the DM role?

Strange when we literally have Flynn on the bench

Iestyn Hughes (where ever he is at the moment) can also play left back

Could've even called up Jahmari Lindsay who is doing well for the under 18s

When is the next round of the Youth FA Cup

Posted (edited)

The F.A website says our F.A  youth Cup quarter final with Man United is this Thursday.  If so, and that's right I'm a little surprised with the team announced for tonight's game. I know at the younger levels results and winning things is not usually seen as a priority, but our under 18s have a real chance of winning the FA youth Cup this season.

This Thursday but if that's a response to why haven't some of them been given a chance tonight fair enough but what about all the other U23 games? There's certain positions we don't have the players for currently in the U23's, e.g. up front and defence.

I think the club are happy for the core U18's to play there but Nelson, Braybrooke and Alves join in for the FA Youth Cup and PL Cup if they can. Evidently going all out for some trophies, it does feel like this is a golden age group. Some very good U16's coming up soon too. Briggs, Evans, French, Nyoni to name a few.
