He is a Trauma and Orthopaedic Registrar Surgeon at Leicester University Hospitals. Prithish is a keen fitness enthusiast and has enjoyed playing football, cricket, tennis, golf and squash to a competitive level. His role involves acute match-day cover of home games, day-to-day management of medical issues of the first-team and staff, assessment of injuries and planning of rehabilitation protocols, ensuring compliance with cardiac screening and doping rules.

I assume he's on a fair wedge. No they're not. In any case he's a registrar so his NHS salary, if he were still full-time, would be around £50k. He's probably doing this as a sort of secondment from his NHS training, I would assume he will eventually want to go back and complete his training, so he's probably not on much more than that. 3

Damn, well I became a doctor but didn't know they were advertising, but I guess they'd prefer an orthopaedic doctor than someone like me (a GP). Interesting though why they've recruited a junior doctor (ie someone who hasn't completed their specialist training 😕). I suspect he'd be referring players to specialists elsewhere rather than treating them himself (in his day to day job he'd be working under a supervising surgeon). 3

He's probably working as part of a team, I doubt he's like, THE club doctor. Amazing experience for someone who wants to do sports medicine, he's probably cheaper than a fully trained specialist and will carry the work the club intends him to do to the required standard. If he qualified in 2014, he's probably an ST5 registrar so reasonably experienced. 2
