yeah since typing that i have learned of other players who put triple captain on him and had pogba, so im feeling like an idiot now

used my wildcard already. i suck at this. needed to get some more expnsive point scorers in and fill the bench with low rated guys, rather than having a balanced team

Opened with 91 and had 11 points on the bench ffs. 
 

Need to listen to some videos and pods for some inspiration on who to replace Gundogan with and then I’m sweet for this week.

good lesson to learn. Those guys on your bench aren't earning you points. Your captain each week is the most important decision you'll make in the game so having one or two of the premium players who you'll know will guarantee points is massive. We're basically talking about Salah, Bruno, Kane, De Bruyne and now Lukaku. There is a reason they cost so much.

i snapped up lukaku for 7.5 which i thought was decent. my defence is the cheapest part of the team but hopefully i have some point scorers now. and the subs do get used. i had 3 players swapped in to my team because they scored more points than the starters

Subs only score points if any of your starting 11 don't play at all, then they get swapped in as you say.

 

It's definitely good to have 1 sub that you think could pick up points in case of an unexpected injury or squad rotation but the other 2 slots are normally just filled with £4m players who have a chance of getting game time just in case they're needed.

I reckon half the game will wildcard to put him in. Will he play 70-80 of every match? Will he take pens over Bruno? Jury's out for me.

I’d like expect him to take pens off Bruno, which makes Bruno over priced.

Depends if he plays regular. Currently I have Bruno and Salah, and I usually go for Kane too (not yet selected him though), but I know these are gonna play every week.

I've got Grealish and have watched him closely in the first few games for Man City and I'm not sure he's going to score that many points. At least not at first, he doesn't yet look up to speed with Guardiola's tactics, his positional play has been really off.

Ferran Torres would have been the one I think, he's going to be the one on the end of the moves. Cheaper too.

I've had Torres in from GW1 based on the fact they don't play an out and out striker and he scored plenty last season.
