Don’t think so anymore

it’s about you and not the ticket ….

they won’t be checking everyone with a capacity crowd there in any case.

I know people that got away with it for the fa cup final and I personally didn’t have anything checked. There’s no ID requirements this time so it may be less strict as well.

I think the earlier you go into the ground the more likely it will be checked, the later you go in you probably just get waived through.

Just change the name on the ticket...

They didn't check my ID at the cup final, but the chap at the outer cordon checked the name on my ticket matched the name on the Covid passport thingy.

Just give the ticket office a call.  The tickets are emailed, so should be easy to change, and they have gone to general sale.

lateral flow test. Just edit the NHS text to your name and date, then get a friend to send you it to you. delete all their messages and change their name to NHS. enjoy the game :scarf:

Excellent thinking. Or just create a Govt test report account in ticket holders name and report a positive test. Either way, so many incredibly easy ways around this its ridiculous, not worth putting the hurdles in place when they are about 2cm tall to jump over.

I did the flow test. Edited the text message to ticket holders name and sent it to myself via text. I changed my phone number to NHS.

But I'm 99% sure it will be fine on the day with your ticket being in another name.

Just did my lateral flow test (despite being double vaccinated). It came back negative but what I hadn’t realised is that I actually enter my results on to the website and they then text that to me to show to the stewards tomorrow. So basically, if I wanted to lie I could? What a stupid stupid system. We’re all as safe tomorrow as we were last week at QPR.

If it’s the same as for the Euros the general rules are lick and hug everyone. Someone you have never met but we score? Hug them all.

Travel on every form of transport possible, get in mosh pits on the concourse.

I even have a friend get full on snogged by a complete random bloke on Wembley way lol

Can’t believe I caught it there in all honesty.

I mean, that wasn’t even needed for the Euros. The internet went down and 3 people in a row went to the same steward with the same text message

I thought you didn't need to do a lateral flow test if you were double vaccinated??

You don't have to he has chosen to.

Only if it has been less than 2 weeks since your 2nd jab.  My 2nd jab was last Saturday, so I did a test today.  Or as Bayfox says, unless you want to.

Got the same problem myself. My lad can no longer make it so taking the better half. Tried to get in touch with the ticket office with no luck whatsoever all week. Absolute shambles. Got through today to say there is nothing they can do.

spoke to a few lads who went the the fa cup and got straight in with minimal checks so only option is to go and see what happens

There isn’t a chance they check the name on the ticket.

I tried ringing the ticket office today to get the name changed on a ticket I got for my lad, couldn’t even get in the queue.  As long as he doesn’t flatten the battery on his phone with his negative test I’m sure he’ll get in fine. There’s loads of people in the same situation.

Can’t imagine with a 3/4 full stadium they will be turning people away for having the wrong name on a ticket.

Just go into Adobe and change the name if you’re worried….I did.

Can Anyone advise please..

I am double vaccinated, and have the NHS APP, so okay for me tomorrow.

my son who is 12 years of age, has done his at home lateral flow test. How do we show at the gate (if asked) that he has done a test.

will a recording with his face in, be enough?

they say to email or text, but whom? Obviously I shouldn’t have left it quite so late, and sure we won’t be asked anyway.

but be good to get advise.

thank you

You need to go on to the Gov. uk website & register the result of the test, they will send you proof by email or text, which you can show tomorrow.

Just duplicate the text message showing you clear Covid result from the fa cup final,

edit the message and change the date of the ‘test’,

saves all this bullshit with going for another test,

did any off the England fans need to go for tests to attend the euros???

no they didn’t
