His new agents are the ones that represent Max Meyer

Ruined him at Schalke and blocked moves because they were asking for so much money, Palace for whatever reason agreed to pay him stupid wages

Moriba needs to be careful really, not many teams are going to be willing to pay that much to an 18 year old

That is a shame, he's an unreal talent.

I do always wonder when Barca willingly sell seemingly outrageous talents what is going on behind the scenes and this says it all really.

...reality will eventually dawn on them the reason why a club like Barcelona ends up in their situation!!!

He is talented, and a year ago his request might have been fulfilled but in this time, there has got to be a market, where everyone readjust to a more realistic price ceiling.

He will have to adjust what he is asking for as he will find there are no takers.

I’m all for ‘ joining’ the Elite but it will be a real slap in the face to so many of our squad who have worked their socks off for the last couple of years for this guy to walk in at 18 years old and get 100k a week.

steer clear of this sort of thing. It will never end well.

We definitely will not be involved in this! It’s all just talk to probably help him get a move.

In a world where Hamza Choudhury is supposedly paid £60k a week this unproven 18 year old is worth £90k of anybody’s money.

I guess the nice thing we can all take away from this is that we are considered big enough to be worth making up rumours for one of the best prospects in the world lol

I doubt this whippersnapper has managed to grind the gears of that Teutonic tw@t on Merseyside, so I am not so sure he is value compared to Hamza

No way he’s getting that.

I find it hard to believe anyone who has accurate information about this guys salary demands would be giving it to Football Joe.

Koeman is just playing the game. We have no idea what his real salary demand would be. He is on something like 10-15k a week in all likelihood.

That’s what I thought. But I suppose it’s just as likely to be a made up number as somebody saying that a player with a handful of appearances in the Barcelona first team is demanding €100k/week.

It was a joke!

Barcelona seem to think they exist on a different footballing planet.   The number of young wonder-kids they accumulate!  I wonder how many careers have been stunted by them.

Chelsea seem to be the Premier League equivalent.

Perhaps regulations should be brought in.

For most players, aside from the cash, it must be in their best interests to find a different path.  But the cash!

As a fan of little Leicester, it is hard to find any sympathy for Barcelona. But anyway,  best wishes to them in a three team super League

I'm not saying that these wage demands are accurate as I don't personally believe them to be but even if they where...

If you're him, you've played a handful of games for Barcelona and are highly thought of there then I would imagine you would consider yourself worth ATLEAST a third of what they are reportedly paying Coutinho.

The thing that grates me is how long they were able to do it for though, particularly the playing side? Real Madrid too.

These reasons are why I support teams like Sevila and Atletico Madrid in Spain. Its a hell of an achievement and where our current model has its foundation too.

... do you think Man. City is at this moment kicking themselves for forking out £100m for Grealish!!!

With Barcelona now in financial worries that is one team less who could have matched their spending. If there are no clubs to compete against financially, the need to flex their muscle dissappears.

Harry Kanes potential fee could drop below £100m as a knock on effect with the other financial problems of the Continental clubs.

Hahaha exactly! To think that they couldve bought Kane if they hadn't bought Grealish. I agree and there's definitely an element of muscle flexing over Grealish. Personally I see him as a revenue media poster boy income as much as his football. They really did need a striker though.

Kane must be fuming, livid. He has no outlets now and no one in the PL can or will take him. If Chelsea hadn't spent anything over the last couple of years I'd have said they'd have needed Kane as an upgrade on Giroud.

Football needs tightening but the Barcelona issue has only happened after years of lobbying against them. Maybe they've been worried that if they tightened the screws particularly on Madrid and Barça, that the leugue in general would drift considerably further away from the prestige of the PL.

One thing is for sure. We are gonna be shit hot on FM if we get this guy alongside Daka!

Let's go get Ilias Akhomach and Gavi whilst we are on the blower.

I think it was a bit rich of Koeman to say it shouldn't be all about the money for him when at the same time his new reported release clause would be 343m. What do they expect? Of course he's going to want a lot of money if they are making it impossible for him to leave.

It’s a weird rule in Spain. Players have to have release clauses so they always make them stupid. Players also have to hand over the cash themselves from their new club to their old or some weird shit like that
