Nah at least in the Wolves match we played well for the first 20 minutes

Yeah I was being facetious, but I guess my point is that we've not been good at all this season, even though ironically we were very good against Villareal and Man City in the Shield.

Southampton in the FA Cup Semi Final I thought we were massively average but also got a win, that would be my proper answer to the question.

Sometimes you just have to win. We've been absolutely bummed by injuries. To get 6 points and buy ourselves a two week break is, frankly, immensely pleasing.

I thought the game had lots of parallels with sheff utd away a couple of seasons back. Under pressure to get our first win, excellent opener, let them back in it and a goal of sheer class edging a tight game.

That's why teams.at the bottom are bottom. They don't have match winners.

When the hell are the new players going to get a game.

Brendan is on record as saying he wants to bed then in slowly ….. many top teams do that with foreign players coming into the the PL ….  They will get starts in the league cup and EL …. And also the PL once the pressure of twice weekly sets in …

Problem we have, IMO, is that we've so many injuries right now, we're having to play some players, like Amartey, who wouldn't normally be in our starting 11 anyway. While most of the rest could be argued as names you might expect to start, the injuries to Evans and Fofana in particular have made us look very shaky at the back.

I don't think Rodgers wants to introduce too many new faces when we've enough issues already. If we had a fully fit squad maybe we'd have seen more from Daka and Soumare,  (Vestergaard and Bertrand would be starting if fit).

I'm certain they will get their chance to show what they can do soon enough,  hopefully alongside a new right winger.

Hoping Evans suddenly feels much better soon enough, as having someone solidify our defence will help us when we go forward too.

Perspective. We’ve been utter dog shite. We were dog shite today. Got what we deserved against West Ham and yet, we are only 1pt off top spot as it stands. Not so bad.

Maybe we will turn up after the international break, otherwise We’re not going to win many playing like that.

You have to play yourself into form. Our good runs in the past have often started with dickie wins at the start..

If we can blunder away to around 9th or 10th til.November and start to see Bertrand,  Vestergaard, Evans and JJ and Castagne and Ricardo back (properly) we might, for once, have a better second half to the season rather and finish like a train rather than the usual injury ravaged whimper at the end of a season.

Spot on.

This season, I'd much rather we plod around in mid table and have a good run to finish in 5th or 6th ... rather than blow a Champions League spot in the last couple of weeks (again).

A win is a win, I'd take 38 of those.

Agreed. A crap win is worth as many points as a blinder. Off the back of an absolute humping against West Ham and after copping yet another defensive injury, could prove to be a vital 3 points in time even if it was a poor performance.

I would too. But I would experience several heart attacks along the way.

Sometimes I honestly wonder if I can take the strain, year in, year out. The stress never gets any easier!
