People moan, slag off and bitch about factions of fan, demographics of fan, type of fan. Discuss the lack of songs, the lack of effort and the general crapness of it.

 

Nothing changes.

 

See you in a few months when we go through this charade of a debate for the umpteenth time.

Simple - we just need more than say 20% of the away end wanting to contribute at any one time. 

 

Possibly need UFS to give the heads up each away game where they will be congregating? 

Yeah that's a fair shout, we could get better at this.

You might get some wanting to join but not go through the whole ufs away ticket purchasing process.
 

Maybe easier to grow away than at home and then somehow transfer that to home some how 😄

I’m pretty sure Huddersfield used to allocate one or two blocks (depending on the away end layout) as ‘singing sections’. So when you purchase a ticket in that block it’s advertised/ notifies you it’s in the singing section, similar to a restricted view seat.

 

Would be the only way i could see it ever working here but as it would involve more work for the ticket office i doubt it will happen

Support at home is pretty shocking. I feel out of place standing up and shouting in the East Stand. 

Doesn't help being blasted by music as if I had mistakenly wandered in to some American sport.

How ironic would it be if a load of middle aged OAPs and families turned round and growled at them, through a drug-induced snarl,  to “Siiiiinnnnnggg! Support the feckin’ booooys!”  If only Carlsberg did karma.

Burnley fans were actually chanting towards the family stand . Don't think they even thought of L1 as a " singing section .🤣

I can’t recall a time where our support has been much worse than it is right now. Don’t get me wrong, we’re conceding sloppy goals that piss people off early on, but there’s a real arrogance and expectation to beat teams, that doesn’t help. We’ve turned into what people laugh at Everton and West Ham for. The moment things aren’t going well we turn into such a toxic home support. 

 

Away from home it’s not much better, West Ham can be forgiven because it was a car crash performance, but Brighton was pretty awful from the start. That game really needed the fans to get behind the players early, but there was such a lack of enthusiasm from our end. 

 

Aside from that, we just don’t have any interesting songs at all and I’m not sure how that changes, because we’ve never been that good at coming up with decent chants.

It's the same problems that won't change any time soon. The atmosphere won't improve until people's attitude changes and I just don't think the majority of our fans have that mindset unfortunately. The club don't help tbf
