I remember during the height of covid when allowed small selection of fans into grounds in the south. Home fans were only allowed attend the Chelsea home game. Did we hear Chelsea complain then. If Chelsea are so desperate to have fans then why doesnt tuchel go in on his pocket and pay for the fans to go 😉

I haven't, or have any intention, to read Chelsea's operating license, but can't they just give them away?  No money for Roman, fans from Chelsea/'Boro don't lose out.

Apparently they requested to the government to allow them to do that but haven't had any response.

Just checked and National Express can get 12 people from London Victoria to Boro for £182.60.  Plenty of change for them too.

How could that happen anyway? - Boro fans have brought tickets, the VIP boxes would have been sold, programs done, catering planning in place etc.

 

It would cost Boro loads if they lost all that and had to pay people back - would Chelsea be prepared to foot the bill?

 

Least Middlesbrough can probably save on police costs without any away fans.

I really feel sorry for Chelski. Wanted the game played behind closed doors because they could only manage to sell 600 tickets prior to the embargo.

Yes, surely the budget is club related and players could pay for their own travel and accommodation?
