What an epic way to finish my stay in Lester with a 4-2 win at home in the snow serenading to Claudio. Atmosphere was just as good as it was against the Polish, sang my heart out and clapped the clappers until they clapped no more. Love the KP! Wish I could stay longer and see more games but back to the USA I go. Great to meet so many other fans and share some banter. COYF! :scarf::worship:

Santa Cruz? Let me know next time you’re in the Bay Area when a games on - let’s get a pint!

I’m just loving watching us create and score again! I know we still look a bit dodgy at the back but there’s definite improvement in the last 2 games, I’m not going to jump the gun and get too excited but it’s nice to have something to cheer about

Agreed. Just wish I didn’t crap myself every time the opposition gets a corner or has a decent run at goal.

I think there is definatly been a dressing room issue this year

because the last two games something has clicked in terms of pressing and overall effort that has not been there for months

Maybe kasper has lost it after chelsea with the lads and some home truths have sorted out a few things

Lets hope so anyway

Against League 1 level opposition and Watford who currently have eight players out and a worse defence than our own.

Perhaps

Still lots of issues defensivly and the way players are out of posession

but for me there has been a basic lack of attacking effort from senior players at times, and for me that at least has been there in the last two games

the efforts again arsenal and chelsea for a group that was top of the league last january were horrific and unacceptable.

Rodgers had to win that today and he did.

Yet if we didn't win those, can you imagine this forum...?!

You can only beat what's in front of you and if you score 7 in the process, something must be going well...

The effort was there against the likes of Brentford and Leeds in particular. It was certainly there v Arsenal in the second half as well. Just hasn’t been consistent enough.

Personally I don’t think we run hard enough out of possession as a whole. Five or six players a game aren’t covering or working back. It happened today for long spells in the first half.

I really don't want to think about it.

Indeed, but I think that the post I responded to was perhaps reading a little too much into the last two games. We simply had to win on Thursday against piss poor opposition and today, given our recent form there was a similar expectation hence the perceived urgency we have recently lacked. Both teams were potentially there for the taking but Watford nonetheless caused us some problems today. Had they been at full strength it may have been a very different result. An in form team based on our performance today and we probably lose at home again and certainly don't score four. I thought Vardy and Maddison were outstanding, but whilst Evans and Thomas played well, as has already been mentioned the yawning gap between our midfield and defence is hugely concerning.

I said the game was 'great fun' (that's positive) but that we were mostly poor (which is the general consensus on here reading the thread). How does that imply that I'm negative and struggle with a low IQ? Seriously Ian, help me out here brother! Xx

What you actually said was it was a championship quality game, well if you had watched us in the Championship as often as me you would know that was boll****

Defensively we're still all over the place but attacking wise we look much better. Yes, we aren't up against the best opposition but 7 goals in two games without Tielemans is a good return.

Thought the players dealt as well as could be expected with the conditions. Much needed victory, badly need a clean sheet and a solid defensive display though. At least our attacking talent is starting to show again.

We won the Championship with over 100 points man stop being so negative. IQ sub 50 surely Ian?

Might end up being good for us. Two wins in 4 days when we've not been at our best should help a lot with confidence. With 9 games in 28 days coming up, it's a good foundation to start recovering the season especially with Tielemans, Ricardo, Justin & Little Wes still to come back.

Not wanting to Hijack the thread. But if Vardy is not our best ever who is?

He is for me .Fan since late 60s

One or two goals behind Ernie Hind on the all time scorers list (I thing it might depend on the 2016 Community Shield goal), so he'll soon be third behind the two Arthurs.  Goals are the easiest way to measure players and football gets ever more defensive so I think Jamie has a pretty strong case.  Loyalty is a big factor too - Chandler and Rowley were in an era when the clubs held the power.

I've always thought the Vardy GOAT argument was questionable, but I'm definitely coming round to the idea!

I said this at the time, must have been incredibly close to have been called offside!!!

Barnes is not short of talent, but may be short of football intelligence.  His decision making isn't great - he runs down a lot of blind alleys, but I suppose that's an occupational hazard for a creative player and he did at least have the sense to square the ball for the 4th today rather than try to score himself.
