Toss up between Vestergaard, Bertrand (looked good pre season), or Bennett.

 

A mention in dispatches for Gray although the penny appears to have dropped with him.

Tonight is the individual worse performance I can remember. He was at fault for all 3 goals and was the main source of all of their chances - if we’d have had Fuchs at his pomp we’d literally have gone through at a stroll

It says a lot when his first involvement in the match is to deliberately pull pack Napoli’s average paced winger. Bertrand signing was just another  a desperate act in a desperately disappointing season .

Can we change this thread title to Ryan Bertrand - Worst Player to wear the shirt in the Prem Era please? I pray that the **** never ever gets a game for us again. In a night of bad performances he still managed to be the stand out pile of shite.

Was thinking in the first half I've never seen someone so clearly struggling and looking nowhere near the required level as Bertrand since Junior Lewis. Absolute Liability, would have been better off with ten men as at least the others would be aware of the vacated spaces that would need covering. If he can't get up and down then don't bomb forward, just offer a solid barrier on the left, the way he trotted back into the box as his team mates were stretching every sinew to block shots and get challenges in suggested he couldn't give a **** and just sees us (club) as a pay packet, absolute disgrace of a performance tonight. How Thomas wasn't brought on at half time I don't know, all I can think is that Rodgers post match comments about young players not doing their jobs recently included him and leaving him out for half a match isn't much of a message to him. Never want to see Bertrand in a City shirt again, it devalues the badge.

Yes absolutely!!! He's ****ing diabolical quality wise, can't do the basics at all. When someone is that bad you expect them to try their hearts out. Whereas he puts in the bare minimum he can get away with. He has no redeeming qualities whatsoever and it makes me rage that he can get away with it whilst picking up a monster wage. A total disgrace of a player.
