“Well done on your maiden first class 100 goals for Man United Mr Sainz”

Good advertisement for the sport that today. A ridiculously terrifying crash and somehow every driver involved is fine thanks to the safety installations. And some amazing drivers going all out for maximum points. More of the same needed 🤞

Great race. Safety car spiced it up with a few more cars at the end, but even before Ocons retirement we were on course for a grandstand finish at the front. Don't think you'll find a more popular race winner

What they've not said is the 5 outs, safety car and red flag that helped get us there.

Let's not pretend that there's a different balance to usual

Wonder what was going through his mind at that point.

Absolutely belting race, best in years. Never seen a single seater clear the tyre wall before at Silverstone.

Not quite sure how protesters got on the circuit. All the fences have lockable gates on after what happened with the Irish priest running on the track.

"Ah ****"

But seriously, just shows how crucial halo is. Another life saved due to its implementation.

Watching it back again its a good job that car didn't catch fire. He'd be a gonner as I don't think he had room to get out. Scary thought.

Nah, the marshals would be well trained to deal with that extinguishing the flames quickly. Also the fire resistant suits they wear are something else.

All of that didn't stop Grosjean nearly dying.

If you can get there 1st thing, for GA i'd recommend woodcote, there's a small section in front of woodcote stand which gives a decent view of Luffield and the old start/finish up to copse as well as woodcote.

Did Becketts in front of main grandstand in general admission right before it slopes so had no one in front blocking our view, well worth getting there for 6am.

Tempted by grandstand next year as we sat in a few for roaming on Friday and tbf you do get some really good view points. I think Abbey would be good as you get the first corner and farm curve looks like you can see the main straight as well

Still knackered today doing Fri-Sun and driving back and forth each day but well worth it

To be fair the fire retardant clothing he wore did an amazing job, only his hands got burnt and that was because the gloves were the only part of the kit that were not up to the new regs standard yet.
